10 second 1st gen

I would try to get some input from Will (BigBlue24) about the chassis. His junker is a pretty quick 2wd. Don’t think he’s ever run a 1.60, not sure about that though.

I expect to see you running 10s at Mason Dixon’s Diesel Days next year. Well, as long as it’s not rained out again.

Do they still have that event, last time i was there was probably 8 years ago with my buddy's nova we put a 12v in

Yep, they still have it. Although, it has been rained out the last 2 years. Normally has a good turnout. I’m usually there, sometimes racing, sometimes watching.

That 12.3 pass was on the worst possible setup if you think about it. Just think if i had more efficient gearing to help the 60ft and the big end, a more efficient converter, a turbo bigger then 54mm and more nitrous. :nos:
Once you get into the 11s and 10s et reduction is a pretty big ask for heavy diesels....all that you mentioned might help, but it could only add up to a half second or so. You going to use w/m?

It's not gonna be all that heavy for a diesel truck, if i could get the 60ft down to 1.60 that should take 3 thenths off, a converter should take off another 4 thenths. And for gearing im not to sure but from the last setup i was out of power before the 1/8 mile, so i think gearing will drop the ET the most . And a few hundred pounds off the weight will only help too. Thats not even adding any lower yet. I think there's another 50 or so hp in the stock injectors. Crazy to think the stock VE and injector can support close to 550hp

Everything you mention right here isn’t making more power, it is only utilizing what is already made. That is a good thing, but a stock VE and stock injectors can’t support anywhere close to 550 rwhp.
With the power you made on the 12.34/106 run you’re truck would need to weigh 3,200-3,300lbs to run a 10.99.
Drop weight, make power to the ground more efficient, cut a quicker 60’, and you still ain’t gonna have what it takes to run a 10 with a VE, stock injectors, stock turbo, non intercooled, non lockup converter.

I don’t have any hard and fast numbers, but it isn’t anywhere close to 550rwhp.

Then how can you say it's not possible lol, is it because no one has done it. 12.3 @4900 lbs =430hp. with 30% converter slip and like i said if i could get the slip to 10% that is 515hp to the wheels and i know there is a little left in the injector. So yes i think 550rwhp is possible

Current “fuel only” record for a 12mm VE is just shy of 650 to the ground on a dyno. Last I knew that RC had an NV4500 so track times aren’t going to valid. There was NOTHING stock about that engine. I’m sure if he had enough giggle gas he’d make some really nice numbers cause that thing had lots of unburnt fuel...

I applaud your clout, I hope you actually do it. BUT the way you are going on about it on here isn’t going to get you many respect points. I’ll state your coke back right now so you don’t have to. “I’m not looking for respect from CompD”.

:umno: :bs:

He didnt make even 550hp uncorrected.

Converter slip doesn't work like that, exactly. With a Goerend steel stator I was still 24% at 450rwhp at 2800rpm, but if you can wind it out to 3,800 that should help out a lot.

With the stock converter at 4200rpm the slip was 30% so i can only imagine the slip at lower rpm. The rpm never really changed from when i hit he nitrous to when i went through the traps. I couldn't even hear it shift lol. If my Goerend slips as bad as your saying I'll probably be giving ProTorque a call.
