It's an fmw borg we put on, I'll have to look at the number in the morning. Got lucky, the compressor stayed put so I didnt have to fish pieces out of the intercooler. Lots of oil though

European trucks can’t start a heavy load without a torque converter or a computer to shift it?

Clutches are burning when you try to get those loads to exact spot where they are wanted. Like 325 000 kg with single tracto. At those loads you cant even think a US truck with their weak unassisted mechanical clutches.

325,000 kg or in real numbers 715,000 lbs. I’m calling :bs: on that one.

Maybe you dumb Europeans could take a few notes from the US heavy haulers.

Put and engine on the back of the trailer to help.

And if one isn’t enough you put 2.

Ever hear of planetary axles Leiffi? Takes the load off the driveline, genius really. Only been around since the beginning of time.

I thought of these too. I bet they don’t have clutch problems, and some of them move more than 715,000 lbs.

yea that’s the direct replacement. The 171702 is the 75mm upgrade.

European weight is different. You also have to factor in they’re in a goofy looking euro cabover so the weight of looking that stupid is on their shoulders all the time which is the biggest factor.

European invention. You need european company with european trailers to move those loads, with US trucks that have european hub reduction axles. If european trucks could be registered there they would use them instead of modified US trucks.

Lmao. I’m sitting here in amazement at all the inventions Finland has brought to my life...........

That company uses Peterbilt trucks and the trailers they build in house and have Cat engines, couldn’t be farther from euro junk. Planetary axles are a factory option, not a modification. Here the mega fleets order automated transmissions so they can hire dumber drivers. Explains why so many euro trucks use them and your shopping for one.

Anyone here ever re-bush a hendrickson primax? Tryin see how much torture im in for

How old is it? Asking because if this AG380 doesn’t hold up that’s what I was going to try and switch to but didn’t want a bushing eating POS like the old LowAir.

And you need to learn to say NO!

2006. About 500k on it. Rides like chit , I can tell ya that. This is the 3rd one I know of in a w9 that needs to be rebushed. The last heavy hauler I talked to had to have his done every 2 years or so. Only thing I’d swap in is a Neway or maybe 8 bag in a kw. But 8 bag is a biatch to work between the diffs. Seen a couple broken lower arms, but only in dumps. At least 8 bag keeps driveline angles in check. Neway I believe rides better though.

You need this
Kenworth cut off’s - auto parts - by owner - vehicle automotive sale

I’m not going to that much work, I’ve got 4 trucks on 8 bag and all are great but when you buy used you get what you get, and I’m definitely not going back to drum brakes.

I’ll take your “rides like chit” under advisement because you one of the guys that thinks the 8 bag rides bad and I see almost no difference between it and any of the others.

Had this come in the other day. Brand new 2008 T800 with 300miles. Made my kidneys hurt looking at it.

I’ve driven 2 8 bag that I thought were good. 1 was a heavy spec dump. The others all rode like the tires were solid, I will say that they all had 13.2 or 14.6 steer axles. Maybe that’s why. The last 2 w9s on ag380 were Cadillac’s, only on 12k steers though. Everything I’ve run with neway rode nice though. Reguardless of steer. This one in here now I considered pullin a leaf out of the front spring pac to see if it helped.

Seems like your just a crybaby but everything rides good with my trailer. Maybe you should drive something with more than a euro cabover wheelbase.
