Does anyone run their throttle linkage direct to the rack bypassing the governor? This would be for pulling only. What are the pros and cons of doing this?
I tried searching on here but wasn't able to find what I was looking for. I thought I had read threads before discussing various intake manifold styles but can't find anything now. This is kind of generic and I'm mostly looking for
theorys and discussion of turbo intake designs.
Don't laugh...
Some of you guys may have seen my posts and videos of my pulling garden tractor. It is a Cub Cadet gear drive with a turbo'ed 3cyl 1100cc Kubota engine. It is indirect injection as most smaller Kubotas are. I'm getting ready to put a bigger injection pump on. Right now I'm running about 30cc of...
I don't know if you guys will be able to relate to this or not. I'm working with a 3cyl Kubota in a pulling tractor. The pump is similar to a Bosch A or P but the pump housing is built into the engine block.
I'm trying to get more RPMs out of it. I have removed the screw that limits the rack...
I'd like to try cutting the delivery valves in my Kubota powered pulling tractor.
But I'd like the option of going back to stock if I don't like it. I'm trying to find an extra set of new or used valves. The engine is a D-1105 three cylinder.
Anyone know where I might be able to get a set of...
I wanted to get you guys thoughts on something. This is on my pulling garden tractor with a turbo'ed 3cyl kubota engine. It has a 250 psi water injection pump.
I have been playing around with
different combinations of water nozzles and came up with an odd thing. My
current setup is 3 90 cc...
I uploaded some videos to youtube of the two diesel classes at the Columbus winter nationals garden tractor pull last weekend.
Thought you guys might enjoy them. 3cyl diesels with single turbos limited to 75CI engines.

I'm asking this in relation to my pulling tractor with a 3cyl Kubota. On it, the cam is in the block and is not part of the pump like a normal inline pump would be. I have been told that improvements can be had by changing the pump cam's profile.
A "quick delivery" cam has been mentioned to me...
As I understand it, drive pressure is the back pressure between the exhaust ports and the turbine, correct? I'm looking for an explanation of why we check it, and what we ideally want it to be. Is there an ideal ratio between drive pressure and boost that we are looking for? Is there any way to...
I wasn't sure where to put this. I'm wondering what kind of hose is best to use for boost gauges etc. On my pulling tractor I'm running 3/16" vacuum line but I'm afraid I may start blowing it out. Right now I'm making about 36# of boost but I don't know how much more the vacuum line will take...

Banks Power | A Diesel Owner’s Worst Enemy—Fuel
I'm wondering if any of you have experimented with different fuels and what the results were. Are racing diesel fuels hard to find?
On my newly built pulling tractor I have about 12 hooks on it after a complete build with new pistons, bearings, cam etc. I'm running mineral oil with
some Lucas break-in additive. I want to change to synthetic but I'm wondering how long I should run it to break in before I switch. I tried to...
