Anybody have any horror stories about the 53 block? Anybody have one that they have had no issues with? I'm looking at another 98 12 valve. I'll find out tomorrow if it's a 53 or not, but I'd like to hear some personal experience stories.

We put the new Mahle pistons in the tow rig and I think we got the wrong part. The markings on the pistons are 2861101 17/1, 102.38 and SPO.12. Anyone know what compression these are? We can't get ahold of the vendor we bought them from. Grrr... Here's a picture: Sorry about the crappy...
