3rd Annual Desert Diesel Nationals

Oh gotcha... well, we will see how long our tranny's hold up..
how long have u had those baby's in?
I've had them in for just under a month, but only about 300 miles (haven't been driving the truck as much, also had the suspension torn apart, now fixing some stuff in the dash).

Michael I think you can camp there.
Cool! Anyone else planning on camping?

I won't be racing, since I don't think the airline will let me check my truck as baggage. But I'll see you guys there. Just bought my tickets/hotel/car.
Jerry,
You oughta see if you can rent a diesel from somewhere. I rented new F250 6.4L's from Enterprise Truck Rental in both Indy and Nashville.

Awesome lol maybe thats what we'll do for TS. :rockwoot:

Just as long as there is one for me! ;)

The 6.4's worked pretty well for bracket racing EXCEPT when they went into regen. The 2009 model I ran at Indy worked well, and seemed to be consistent about regen (the dash light would come on, and once it was on it stayed on until it was done). It slowed it down around half a second in the 1/4 mile when in regen. The 2010 model I ran in Bowling Green (as well as a big gasser footbrake race in Montgomery, AL) was a different story. It went in and out of regen several times, and did not always turn on the dash indicator when it was doing it (which seemed damn dangerous to me considering the exhaust temps when it was happening).

REALLY made a big difference. I can hit 34 psi off idle in much less than a second, and it peaks at 36 psi boost (yes, I know my stock turbo won't like this very long!). The boost levels should be less severe when I get my intercooler in.

Hopefully leaving Portland on Wed afternoon (as soon as my kid gets out of school). Trying to keep this trip a secret from her, will be a surprise (and a bigger surprise that we're going to Disneyland on the way home).

Gee maybe ill go home with you guys!!!.

We are pulling out of here the morning of the 3rd so we should roll into Phoenix area probably Thursday night or Friday morning.
