7.3 powerstroke in 2.6 class

i think my truck will be a 2.6 truck this year.............

That's the route I'm going Joe. I'd have changed it this year but with the tuning issues I wanted to make sure I had that worked out first.

Well after a lot of thinking I have decided to build a serious 2.6 class 7.3 powerstroke pulling truck. Definitely more expensive than a cummins but after talking with my engine builder it should be able to run with the best 2.6diesels trucks anywhere when he is done

GOOD LUCK W/ YOUR BUILD AND TAKING THE ROAD LESS TRAVELED.... I WOULD DEFINITELY TALK MORE W/ THE PULLERS ON HERE THAT HAVE BEEN THERE AND DONE THAT FOR SOME MORE ADVISE ON YOUR BUILD. BECAUSE I DON'T THINK YOUR ENGINE BUILDER REALIZES HOW GOOD THE BEST 2.6 TRUCKS RUN AROUND HERE.$.02

Uh yeah! Ive learned the hard way the 2.6 class is not a entry level class anymore! After dropping another $3500 in my truck in the past month!

LMAO If that first PS has 550 I have 700 and Jason HRT has 800.

i dont know that guy never would say what he had done to the truck my buddy asked him all the time still it does pretty good

His truck runs pretty good but I don't see it being 550. Last I heard he blew it up.

AS far as the engine swap into the truck being legal for pulling you should be ok, If i remember correct the rules state " The enigne must be factory engine from a 1 ton or smaller truck"

Pulling with a ford I'd take a 6.0L over a 7.3L why? see vids.

The 6.4L will be the king of the 3 in a year or so.

I bought a set of 225cc injectors for my 6.0L but am now thinking repowering the truck with a 6.4L :D

If I had a 7.3L I would def swap in a 6.4L

600RWHP & 1200+TQ is as easy as a flash tune & injector nozles, no HG problems either, common rail rocks ;)

I'd agree a 6.4 is easy to get power out of. It's twins and not a single 2.6. The truck in the top vids doesn't exactly fit the 2.6 class either.

ask corey atley(owns the ohio cat mod truck) about pulling with a 6.0. he pulled that for a few years it ran awesome for a powerstroke but still couldn't outpull the dmax's and cummins. the heui fuel system was not made for big power

i had a buddy that has or u can say had a powerstroke and he pull motor last summer and put in a 04 common rail for this season he dumped tons of money in it and never got what he thought he should have, he just sold the powerstroke motor to a guy in cal. for 10k with power stroke it only turned llike 550 on the rollers. i would look at a cummins buddy or a dmax

I was suppose to take my motor to my engine builder today, but over the weekend I talked to one of my buddies and he made me a interesting offer. He wanted to know if I wanted to be his partner and build a super farm pulling tractor.

I don't know what to do now. I would like to build a pulling truck, but I think I'd rather build the tractor.

The truck in those first three videos has to be the best sounding non-ppumped Powerstroke I've ever heard. Nice!!
