Banks is calling out Everyone!!!!

I could ask more from Banks by saying: how about since you have so much money to put into programs, how about sponsor more racers? Not just your 2-3 million dollar dragsters. I know Gale Banks is an enthusiast, but they have thrown other diesel companies under the bus. Like I said, I'm glad they are bringing their stuff back out. Their race vehicles impress me, but the fact that they break records against people with less than 1% of Banks' budget does NOT impress me. They COULD have been racing NhRDA or NADM every year, or sponsoring more guys that ARE out there busting their a$$.

They have had their own Diesel programs going albeit not drag racing in recent years. You typically do not sponsor others when providing your own team. On a business level you can only finance so much in marketing and sponsorship is marketing.
 
I'm excited to see this.

One question. With the rail having a supercharger, could they potentially be a dirty racer by their ability to not having to spool?

Marketing goes a long way. To say you beat the top record holders may go further than "We hold the top records".

Completely false. I race every chance I get and go to every diesel event I'm able to. I like seeing fast trucks, but I don't like Banks. I've never met them but I hear the race team is top notch. The problem I have with Banks is their marketing. They lie and twist facts, plain and simple. I didn't just make up my earlier post about how their ad would go after this; that's exactly what they did in Bandimere a few years ago. And their little Dakota was NOT the fastest or quickest truck there. A full size lifted F250 called them out and they refused to race him because he was faster. They plain ole lied in their ad after that. That's why I personally can't stand them and I'm guessing why others don't like them either. I'm all for competition but if you have to lie...

Their race team crew is a great bunch of guys just like the rest of the everyday racers, ready to help others and share info.

Those who say they don't sponsor racers, have you asked Banks? They have sponsored products on two different trucks for me. I just stating what I have seen personally, not trying to sway anyone one way or the other.

I'm looking forward possibly lining up against the S-10. I'll get a good look at it for a second or two, lol.

I don't know squat about the DMax's but from what others are doing and have done in the past, and the reliability at 'trying' to get to the power level of either Scheid or the HyperMax guys........ good luck because your going to need it. Sure 1200 to even 1500 hp is a ton and will fly in the correct chassis, but come on 6.30's at over 220 mph.... is power on a diff. planet from those numbers! Freckin' double!

Scheid camp claims 2800 with their new billet block/head 12v and HyperMax says 3000hp.
6.20'S from a 7.17 would be unbelievable to me from them

Cant wait to see them battle.

Well as I said, I think it's great and I hope it pans out. Rob is right, great bunch of guys in rhe pits and very helpful. Not sure who is driving for them anymore, but Wes Anderson was also a great guy and also very helpful.
 
it was nice watching the banks rail a few years ago in AZ and it will be nice to see both run at the opener. i'll be there to watch either way but i won't be cheering for banks.

Bring it!

I just hope they know how to race and cut a light! They can have the records I as always just want the win light! Wade has a new guy helping him that is very good with a chassis. If his ego doesn't run the guy off he should step up a little. We need all we can get so I hope they make it out east as I cannot afford to go out west. I hope Greg gets his done. I'd like to see 8 or 10 cars so they would have to go a few rounds and race and not chase records. The more we have the better it will be. I'm not afraid of anyone in my class as I have won and lost to them all. I guess I have not beat Marty but I owe him! He better be scared I'm coming for him. Lol compitition is good for everyone.
 
Yeah...I thought this site was about competition. I think that word has popped up a time or two around here.

Damn I don't like gale and his marketing but... I couldn't wish and pray that on him! Maybe like a bad accident in his pants or somthing?? I saw him on motor week here a bit ago he is oooooolllld, probably wears diapers...
