I don't have a time slip because it was at an arm drop event at an old airfield. They did have timing lights though and announced I went a 12.2. I'm not asking to be on the list until I can back it up at a real track just thought I would share. Here's a video https://vimeo.com/140584291

That pass looked like a good time....especially against a Vette! Those are always fun to pick on. So what's up with the backfires? How heavy was the truck?

I was spraying about 500 horse of nitrous. The first backfire is when I got back on the spray after the 4-5 shift, second is when the s475 exploded. Truck weighs around 7000 pounds.

Also, not to be a jerk or anything, but low 12s on an airfield blowing up needs more info. Humble or not, jumping into the top 10 on an unofficial half pass...got everyone interested! Let's hear about that run!

Well hopefully I can back it up here in a couple weeks at a real track if I can get a charger rounded up to throw on it. I'm already on the list with a 12.79 @112 without nitrous but with a different motor with a 480 on it. That was a C6 Z06 vette hard to tell in that video but I beat it 12.2 to a 12.6 they said.

I launched it around 30 psi in third in the nv5600. Shifted to 4th and hit the spray right away, shifted to 5th and got on it again where you hear the first backfire. Was probly 100 - 200 feet from the traps when the charger grenaded.

I have the nitrous plumbed in two stages but they are both just wired to one button on the shifter right now. What's everyone's thoughts on activating it better? I'm kinda thinking put the first stage on a wot switch to try and help spool charger then have second bigger stage on the button? Don't know if it will handle spraying in third without getting out of shape though it was spinning a bit as it was.

This thing is more of a pulling truck than a racer but I'm really happy how it runs at the track none the less. Hoping it might be possible to break into the high 11s eventually.

I personally hate WOT switches for cars that have to let out of the throttle at all. In a really fast car they're fine, because once you let off, you're done anyways.

I was asked to post this by a friend of a friend. Here you go Leuthen.

Thanks smokinVE, The truck is an 2005 ccsb, nv5600, 90hp sticks, aftermarket cam, head work, 85% cp3, smarty so6 (original software) tst powermax, twin disc.

The 4500 has a huge advantage on the lack of an extra shift.

For nitrous on a manual its gotta be on a boost reference switch. It shouldn't spray till you're making xx psi and then should shut off also. WOT doesn't work and neither does RPM.
