Texas Diesel Nationals April 10th 2010

Yup, including a 1.151 60' time on that pass. The truck is still detuned from last year's transmission problems (smaller injectors and milder tunes), but trust me that it was a hell of a launch. I ended up making a single in the final when the red Dr. Performance truck started leaking, and spun the tires pretty badly (1.28 60' time, 9.58 et). I managed to make it through eliminations without going into regen with the 6.4L rental truck, overall it has been an awesome weekend. The weather was nearly perfect today, sunny and warm. Got to meet a bunch of people from the forums, and hang out with a few people I already knew.

I wonder if this was that 60 foot

It was a great time. Mother nature finally gave her blessing. I did not take many pictures, too busy with helping Michael most of the time. Here are are few that I did take. I have a few videos, once again not really time to set up and video anything right. I do have DeRanged's maiden track run and a few others. See if I can get those up to utube soon.

Thanks again for posting those!

I didn't get many photo's, due to I was in the booth most of the day answering questions and what not. But the few I did get I'm happy to share.

Actually the 1.15 pass was in the left lane, but we weren't too shabby on the 60' on the other passes either ;) Even when I spun a bit in the final it still got up on the wheelie bars pretty hard.

Not familiar with the red dodge "Hot Rod Diesels" truck holding up the trophy. I'm assuming this was the Prostreet winner? What were the times ran by the Porstreet trucks. Very cool looking truck will it be at TS?

That is Michael Watkins who owns Hot Rod Diesels between Houston and Galveston. He may have been the only entry in Pro Street, as most of the trucks were running either Super-Street or Pro-Stock. He has run well into the 10's before, but was fighting electrical gremlins at this event, and eventually wounded the motor as well. He said it looks doubtful that he will get it back together in time for TS.

Michael Pliska

That is one kick ass dually

Thanks. I got it down to a 13.6 at 102 mph , then when I upped the power and launched harder I broke the output shaft on my trans. The guy that pulled it apart said it was a clean break. I will have it back together in time for TS for sure but I am also hoping to have it done in time for Bash on The Bayou .

Hopefully my tranny will be done Wednesday, installed thursday, then out to Bash on the Bayou the next day. OD unit was trashed day before Dallas and caused hydro failure. So Mike at HotRodDiesels is checking it out now. Does not look too bad better safe than sorry.

I will be at Wood Brothers Raceway in Oklahoma on May 1st and Ozark Raceway Park in Missouri on May 22nd and Centerville Dragway in Arkansas on June 5th and then back to Centerville Dragway on July 3 and then I will have to look at my schedules to see where I'm going from there. Come on down anytime!
