The one gen

Just an old 92 standard cab Dodge. Picked it up from my buddy as a roller early 2015. I've spent my sleepless nights working on this pig, as it was 2 hours away from me in a garage, and I was trying to take advantage of the time I had. I picked up a motor out of a 96 and a built 47rh tranny as well. Should be a sweet truck once all the little pieces are sorted out. Here's the mod list:

96 ppumped 12v
valve springs
kdp fixed
new crank seals
studs
4k gsk
full cuts
new carter style lift pump (25 psi at idle) fed by 1/2" lines and hellman sump
infinite performance 5x.016's 155* from weston
Stainless diesel billet 64/83/.9 T4
intercooler
DPC billet triple disc convertor
tcs billet input and other tcs and firepunk parts
full manual valve body with b&m ratchet shifter
custom switches for O/D and lockup control
bd diesel HD tranny cooler
truck lite led headlights
2.5" superlift leaves up front
bilstein shocks
borgeson steering shaft
moto metal 962's 20x12 with 33/13.5 M/T atz's
all new brakes, lines, fluid, master cylinder, drums, calipers etc
mag hytec diff cover

Now for the pictures.....

Yea. I'm so afraid to rip on my 4th gen for fear of headgasket issues and I don't want to modify it anymore than the dpf deletes I've done, so I finally got a 12v again so I can play around now. The only thing I'm not quite sure of is the lift pump choice I went with. I havent actually drove this truck yet btw. I have the adjustable tork tec return line banjo bolt maxed out currently, the heater is deleted, new seals and gaskets and pre filter and hoses as well as a brand new piston lift pump with one donaldson and one wix filter inline and pre-pump. I just hope that is enough to support my mods. . . . I wanted a mechanical pump so there wasn't any worry about electronic stuff going bad, but now I'm worried I'm gona kill the injection pump. I tried that gear drive pump with the east coast diesel front cover from my puller but I couldn't get the damper on then. That thing probably wouldn't have lasted very long on the street anyway

Looks real good man! How was the turbo install with the bd t3t/4adapter, i have heard some of the bolts are pita. What are your intentions for the tappet cover hoses? You going to run them into a catch can?

the t3 to t4 plate was from stainless diesel. It was a breeze to install. only thing I forgot to do was port the stock manifold to match the adapter plate, and once it was on the truck, I kinda just said f$%# it and left it alone. see what I mean:

i'm just gona let the breather hoses hang. the 45* into 120* fittings should make it hard for any oil to go "over the hump" and to the ground.

I generally figured they liked 40-45 pounds. The valve "supposedly" makes it ~25 psi at idle and ~33-35 psi at higher rpm. So, yes, that is on the low side, but I've heard some really good power numbers on stock lift pumps....even heard a few places of 800+ hp on stock lift pump. Who knows if that's true or not, but I'm thinking I'm gona be at 500 or so with my combination. If I'm not liking the fuel pressure under load, I'll get a boost-a-pump probably such as a holley black (or is it holley blue everyone is using?)

Like it. Love all the pictures. Thank you for sharing.
Why mount the cooler in the bed unless this is a dedicated play truck?
Hope you enjoy the bouncy ride. These single cabs are like riding a bull.

it is pretty much just a fun play truck. Theres a gooseneck ball in it, but I have my 4th gen for anything like that. I figured the cooler is still kinda out of the way, and it wont get beat up by being under the truck. And i don't care how it rides hahaha I had to have another regular cab

Nice build man. I love it, its nice to see some first gen builds on compd. At least now I won't feel so lonely when I start my thread. :lolly:

Looks good! That's the same location I put my cooler, though I did cut a 6" hole right below it for some air movement across it. So far so go might change it up a little this winter but haven't got that far in life yet :hehe:
