The one gen

Battery died the other night. The gauge seemed ok, but come to find out, I was only sitting at 12.2 volts. I had to push it an 1/8th of a mile to get to a parts store and they said the battery wasn't even being charged. So...I had to put an external voltage regulator on it. The wiring is very simple. ground the case of the regulator (I went to the frame and the alternator case), take the middle prong to one prong on the alternator and to a switched ignition source, and the other wire to the other post on the back of the alternator:

GOLDEN AGAIN at 14.7 Volts:

Found a tonneau cover on the side of the road and it fit perfectly after I bought a few pieces that were broken. Nice!

EGT's were still jacked up so I installed the afc housing to try and help, as well as, putting 181's in place of the full cut dv's:

Managed to see a small fuel leak near fuel pressure sender and hard line from fuel filter so I'm going to fix it by running half inch hose from filter housing to 1/2" dual feel lines for the pump (eliminating the hard line from filter to pump) ....then new turbo....then add boost elbow to afc and tune more. Bumping timing up to 22 degrees as well. Hopefully everything will come together nicely and I'll have more power and lower egt's!!

Trifecta by Exstang. Hopefully my trans cooler isn't adversely affected by the cover

What brand rotors are on the truck?

Very nice build. Wish we had nice first gens like that up here. Where did you get the tach? It come complete with wiring?

Thank you. I assume one of those numbers should end in SR

Edit, they aren't directional like I thought

Incase you don't know my history....I have had a truck fire and my custom/restored streetbike burn completely to the ground in front of my eyes. So, I put fire extinguishers on everything. Heres a nice clean one for the truck made by Safecraft and it has their billet mount with stainless hardware.

With choosing to make your t-case shifter so tall, any interference when going to 4-lo?? I ask because the 205 trucks always had the shorter shifter due to 2wd being at the rear of the pattern and this would be considered normal operation, 208 trucks are opposite and had a much taller factory shifter.

Awesome. I put one in my Ford before I sold it. Everyone should have one... Never know when it might save your own ass or someone elses. Seen a lot of burnt trucks on some of the routes our crew takes.

Mine is still 4low at the firewall, neutral, then 2hi, then all the way to the bed of the truck is 4hi. It's about 8" taller than before. It doesn't move and makes changing gears easier. The only thing I had to do was cut a notch out of the floor and trim ring so it could come all the way back into 4hi because the 47rh bell housing adapter pushed the whole tranny and then of course, transfer case to the rear about 1.5 inches.

I agree. Plus it looks kinda cool and can maybe bring up a story or two. I just think if I would have had a small one before, I could have saved thousands of dollars, so a few hundred on an extinguisher is no big deal.

I put a new clockspring in the other day in hopes of fixing the cruise control. Idk if it'll work though because the horn had worked before. I have a Fass 220 on the way and new isspro fuel sending unit because the one I had was not working and I actually ran out of fuel one time because I'm basically drivin blind. The return line for the pump is almost done though
