00' 3/4 ton 4x4 CrewCab Twin Turbo Dakota

Nothing has been done to the truck for the past 6 weeks or so, still out of town should be home sunday but ill probably rest for a day or 2. This 6 day Auction and past 43 days is kicking my butt.

But in this time away ive had a lot of time to think and change my mind countless numbers of times. MAINLY turbo/turbos. So the problem is if I am going to keep my A/C which I am. The twins will be a tight a** fit. The original plan was to have this as a DD but that changed when i bought 33" M/T's instead of the toyo proxes. And I have my 05' GTO to drive. But anyways long story short not an ALL THE TIME DD.

So I'm going to build my own manifold (log Style) so i can position the turbo pretty low( if i do twins- primary on top)... but lets get off the twins for a little bit and go single. What would you do? Im thinking s467.7 with a spool flange if i can get one. or s366 t4.91 with spool flange. spool be that much different between the 2? :bang
 
I got a little bit done this past weekend with the shock towers... I'm going swap oil pans out and put the motor in again. So I can get the radiator and intercooler mounted..

Not the nicest but I like em and think they turned out great!! Also have 8.75" of travel!!! :woohoo: Shouldn't ever need it.

For anyone running compound like this side by side. how close are the turbine on the primary and the compressor on the secondary?

Got the Dana 80 out of the donor truck today and pulled the 8.25 out of the dakota today also.

Truck is sitting about an 1.5" high in the rear in these pictures.

As for now thats all i have.. Probably won't have much of an update for a couple weeks ( going out of town for 12days for work again).
 
I reckon ill give yall a little update. truck hasnt been started yet still a few little things to finish up. I hope i get it going before friday for TS. If i do get it moving im goign to trailer it up there and, would like to have got it painted and put in the show-n-shine. but unfortunately dont have time. may dyno it though.

after a little pressure washing and sand blasting, a little TCS enamel paint was apply. looks ok.

have around 1/4-1/2 " clearance around.

Well the truck isnt 100% complete but it is drivable.
Things left to do
1: install fitting and hose for the secondary wastegate
2: Install the electric fan
3: Install the rear coilovers
4: put new front and rear seals in the transfer case
5: finish hooking up gauges- speedo, fuel level.
6: open up the filler neck on fuel tank
7:b front end alignment
I think that is all the "major things"


Ive driven it 60-70 miles all together. Furthest single trip is around 15 miles nothing to crazy yet. Ive got it around 75mph for a little-(still nervous about getting onthe interstate) haha.

The truck needs to be tuned. mainly just the preboost screw for now. if im not careful it will smoke- not blacking out the road, but you can tell where ive been. but this truck is FUN!!! and all the looks i get is awesome lol.

Performance wise.. If i ever get on it( haven't yet since wastegate isnt hooked up) this truck will get on down the road. Ive got to about half throttle maybe 3/4. half throttle netting me round 55psi total and primary round 28-30psi. didnt stay in it as the boost was still climbing. didnt get a chance to check egt's but highest i seen em i believe was 1200.
With it being over fueled on the bottom end. in overdrive i can only build 20psi at 1200 rpm primary is around 8psi :cheer: i think when i take some fuel out it should get better. ill see if i can get a video for yall.
Mods are schied street cam, twins,160 pump, 5x.016's,full cuts, modded afc, 80psi fuel pressure, 21 degree timing.
Hoping i can get atleast mid 600's out of it.
