00' 3/4 ton 4x4 CrewCab Twin Turbo Dakota

Little ways away from me, but who knows. We might see each other next year somewhere.

Getting it back together is going slower than i would like but should make some progress this week. But I did however build my own spool flange. 1/2" thick had to grind the center of my manifold to get it flowing properly.
Got most of my down pipe together yesterday.
Ground the lip off the compressor cover- I'm going to run a boot instead of v band.(for more flex)
Need to make a new feed line and drain line.
Sand and paint the piping.

And hopefully get time to fix my rear seal in the trans(has a steady drip)

I ordered a manifold blanket and a turbo blanket to keep under hood temps down.

My TIG welding is also getting better.(only have like maybe 2 hrs into it all together)

just read the whole build... looks like the welding has come a long way.. good stuff
really suprizing on the weight.. I was figuring less than 5500.
nice project

06megacummins not yet, hopefully i will tonight
jakerc69- i knew the weight would be somewhere round 6000 with the twins and 3/4 ton axles. if it was 5500 that would have been awesome. Also a crew cab truck that has more room than a extended cab 2nd gen and weights a couple hundred less. ill take it.

Also as for a little update. I started it up late yesterday afternoon to check for leaks after needing to replace 3 exhaust manifold gaskets i just went ahead and did all 6.
I let it idle for a couple minutes and revved it up a few times got around 8 psi revving it a couple times. it was getting late so didnt get a chance to take it for a spin, that should be tonight.

here are a few pics for yall

Very cool build.

Have you driven it enough to see if you met your fuel mileage goal?

As for a lil update. I'm not happy with the S467. It's a great turbo dont get me wrong. I was thinking with the spool flange it would come to life a earlier. I could possibly tune it a little better but I'm going to swap turbo's again. in about 2 weeks. Going to triples if I can fit them in the engine bay.

Damn. This build gets better and better. What size turbos you going to try?

Damn im glad I didnt buy a 67! Thanks for the update, sweet build!!

For the 'primary' I'm going with the box chargers. 63/68/.88's they flow ~75 lb/min each so i should be able to make decent power with and they should spool fairly well. and the secondary is still up in the air either a 64/71/.83. Or another 63/68. But with a .83 housing. I'm planning to keep it T4.

I'm really just doing it for the 'wow' factor and to just to say I did it.

If this truck was just a drag race only truck I would keep it. For aS400 charger it run really well But I got spoiled with my 63/68.

I got home Friday and a 2 of the turbos were waiting on me! So started on building some stuff for the trips.
This may look like a lot of space.... But it's NOT!

Cool Build....But a little different Turbo Set up.

Maybe I missed it, But I see Ky Tags and your Location says TN. Where you located?

I live in Smith Co. TN but I bought the truck in KY and left the plate on while building it.

and I hope my "different turbo setup" does well, if it does I'll need to change the heading to " 00' 3/4 ton 4x4 CrewCab TRIPLE Turbo Dakota "

For saying you're not a fabricator, you're doing a good job at it IMO!

Awesome build! Gives me motivation. I'm really thinking about doing a 4BT/ ford ranger swap. My father in law has a 94 2wd ranger that has a junk 2.3. Pretty sure I could get a family discount on the truck LOL.
