Really at idle it is smooth, The trouble comes in at 720 rpms and at 950 rpms it smooths out again. The chatter has given me trouble with the sensors. This job was not a walk in the park.

Wow, when you said GTO Airboats...I was like...naw couldn't be. GTO Airboats is about 20 miles up the road from me. I live in Summerfield, about six exits south on 75. Man, is the boat still there? I'd love to go see it run.
 
I would like to see a graph on the 1000hp, I just can't see an A5 doing it alone . althow I guess it could be possible on a engine dyno.

1000fwhp = ~800rwhp is it that hard to believe?

not to menition the engien is not driving the following

allision transsmission
transfer case
a/c
power steering
fan
drive shaft
axles
wheels/tires

its almost common knowledge a stock AK5 with stock heads and cam is good for ~750rwhp in a truck chassis.... or is that hard to believe as well?

But my question is...... is that 1000hp for how long??? 20sec on the dyno or for several minutes flying thru the everglades... just wondering

We are able to hold her wide open for a long time! EGT's never over 1150 but you better bring more water than fuel.

Do you have water injection on it, or does it overheat and boilover after being at WOT for a long period?
 
good job tony looks sweet hey have you got any idea about how fast it flys across the water? and none of that knot stuff give it in miles per hour if you know the speed

They were doing over sixty and still had some motor left.
