12V Engine project vol.2

I need some advice. I buliding my twins. He351vgt/S475 I have ats ex. manifolds one whit T3 and other whit T4 foot. Which one is better to use? The 351 vgt foot is closer to T4 size so I think it will flow better then T3, but probably spool up the turbo more slowly then T3 in bottom end rpm
How big is the difference between these two in low rpm (turbo delay) and high rpm(ex. gas temp)
The truck is for street use mostly :charger:

Thanks to James(f6jbob) who send me the cam gear retainers/bolt measurements the local machine shop made one for me to. Today I left my cylinder head to the same shop so they can cut the intake off.
I had ordered 5x16 injectors from Weston (SDX) and send order to Haisley Machine to get better rod bolts and 5000rpm governor spring kit(I was ordering two sets because Margus(Astross) want better rod bolts and springs as well).
The race is 8 july so I have more then one month to build up my truck.
1. build the engine
2. build the twins
3. fix the transmission and transfercase
4. get the P-pump benched(when I get the spring from Haisley)
5. Make traction bars
6. install the Airdog fuel pump
and ther is lot more things to do :stab:

My kind of man, cummins and pontiac. I bought my first 67 gto when I was 14. Still have a lot of pontiac parts and pieces and a complete 68 firebird ragtop.

I bet finding parts are a little hard in your neck of the world?

Some progress. Transmission cooler is mounted in new place.
Front axel is disassembled to replace all worn parts. Cylinder head is machined.
Now I can measure the valve to piston clearance and if it's ok I can but the engine together.
New flange is made to connect T4 manifold to HE351 vgt

Time flies, but much remains to be done within 12 days.
Front axel differential bearings was in bad shape so I had to replace them. Also had replaced all ball joints/shaft u-joints in front axle and all steering parts are new. Same as front and rear driwe shaft joints are repalced. Now I dont have the small needle bearing what is supporting the inner axle shaft. And since this is not metric bearing I dont find it nowhere. So I had to order it from Sweden(they have 1pcs in stock) and expected to be delivered middle of the next week :nail:
Today I started to assemble the engine. I tried positioning the front cover when I noticed that the KDP is missing  .That was my original car engine.
And when I look the front cover I notice the damaged place. And now I also remember that when I got the car from U.S. was always a few drops of oil under the car.
I thought the front cover seal is leaking.
Because the engine could not put together, I began to deal with twins.

I still dont have the aluminum cover for pushrods and adjustable pumpgear.
Injectors are still in U.S. waiting shippment to Estonia. :kick:

What kind of power are you expecting?

I build such a combination for the first time, so I do not call very high hopes.
May be 500..550 hp. I do not know yet how much fuel they getting out of my P-pump.I hope to get my P-pump back end of the week so then I will know the fuel quantity.
I've read a lot here and elsewhere in the engine/twin building but still has a lot of questions which I do not know the answer.
Hopefully soon, it seems which turn out.

And if I can not get enough real horsepower I have a box full of stickers, and LED lights. I heard a rumor that 1 big stickers=1hp and 5 LED lights= 1hp :evil

Required for the AD 150 pump hose installed and the engine is looking a bit better already

On the flange is still much work to do.

Go back to build it .

LOL

Little paint and fabrication work.
Tappet cover is right shape now and intake flange is bolted to cylinder head for measurements. Tomorrow has lots of grinding work to do with the flange.
Front axel is painted.
