1939 dodge gets a cummins 12v

clocked the turbo and started on intercooler piping. that snap ring on the turbo was a pain in the ass to get back on.

Got some work done this week steering wheel mounted, made a shifter I like the location the top sits really high up. Made some pedals up the clutch pedal will be remade out of an original pedal just like I did with the brake pedal. drove the truck out of the shop for the first time still needs a ton of work before its street-able/safe

bed still needs to be lowered and leveled

Another short test drive complete now time to work on some gauges before i run it for longer than a few min at a time. Im going to go with some autometer golden oldies. Is the correct fuel gauge the 240-33 ohms? Version?

Subscribed. I see your in Gilbert now but are you from Sonora? I'm getting my ducks in row to start on a 1940 1.5 ton cummins re-power for a winter time project, I like what you've got going. We're you able to use the mechanical fan or are you going with electrics?

No ive been in phx area for awhile I use sonoran for my business sonoran kayak rentals.

as far as my build goes Its been on the back burner with our summer heat. but now that the weather turning it will be back to building. theres no way a mechanical fan will fit unless you put the motor even farther into the cab. I have the thinnest electric fan available and even with that its going to be almost zero clearance. with no intercooler and a custom intercooler you would have a bit more room to work with.

got my electric fan mounted had to do some trimming but it "fits" now I need to sort out a lower radiator hose any suggestions on where to find possibly a flexible hose (need to make a horseshoe shape around the front fender mount. that has an inlet size large enough to fit the cummins?

passenger front running board mounted along with rear fender mount done finally bent up a pipe and made a plate for the intercooler to engine. electric fan mocked up had to do a little trimming to the guard but it "fits" picked up some 2 inch alum tubing and connectors from frozen boost thanks for the idea joefarmer. the mount comes out around the front body mount and down to the radiator.

How did you get that air filter to fit with the alternator terminals there? I can't push mine on far enough.
