300' track or 150?

Sort of about the same as pulling with a Chevy, ain't it?:kick::evil

Damn, you're on a tear tonight. Are you all backed up?

Pulling with a Chevy is better than pulling your crank 'cause you ain't got no truck.

Man ........I think Dennis & Gene should go out back with boxing gloves on & settle this.
Gene..... I have yet to ever see Dennis say a deragoratory word towards your events.........
I have seen him defend his event but why do you have a hard on about this event?

lynn champan truck dead hooks...
this sled pullign matt?

Looks arright to me!

I have been critical of you 2WD guys in the past but I have to say, a truck doin' a wheelie ain't all that bad. Kinda tractor-ish....:D

here gene even i tried my hand with my drag truck!!

in drag race form..whipping the sled pullers. auto, stock air pressure, cal tracs, street tire, no weight...owning the dudes with sts's, weight, and ladder bars as long as the truck.

You got ahold of that track!

How long is your motor at full load? Same time frame if not more for a puller, its not about distance genius its the length of time.

X2...

If you break it down to the force equations, even without the friction of the sled pan, assuming a 6,000lb truck runs the quarter in 11 seconds with halfway uniform acceleration and later does a 300' pull with a 40,000lb sled (still omitting friction the largest factor) in about 13 seconds, the truck has to exert 18,230N during the quarter mile.....but 22,529N during the sled pull. I'll try to figure out what the friction would be tomorrow, kinda tired

Well this may not be the best example, but my '94 in this video has 365 rwhp, so I pick a big gear, threw some crushers on it, made it weigh 7200 and guess what? There was the biggest load on my engine/ drivetrain ever!!! :hehe: I've drag raced the truck as well and there is no way there was as much strain on my truck as if i were pulling...

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SCqRNGViDpA&feature=channel_pageI ended up pulling 289.10 20 feet behind 500-700rwhp trucks that win all of the time. :woohoo: LOL

John, not true whatsoever. You wont find a post from me saying anything against the TS event. I have supported it, in the past, as I do currently and will continue to do so.
I'm not sure how you could take my agitation of drag racers as a whole, as against TS.

As far as Dennis "defending" his event, what are you talking about? Maybe I missed the thread, but I dont recall anyone attacking the event to warrant a defense?
