i did let tom colesanti beat me..got me by 12 feet...but he like actually is into sledpulling..oh and he has a p pump.
 
I think they should start a new event by combining the 2.
Do this only with pickups. No transfer sled, full weight from the start, no spinning tires full power to the pavement, and do it up hill. Separate the men from the boys. Race them head to head and have a full cleanup crew for broken parts. And not like the diesel power challenge, UP HILL and with a big load. (the trucks in the video are close to 150k) Just load 2 trailers to say 40k and turn 'em loose side by side.

Diesel Page has organized an annual, uphill, loaded-trailer towing competition for years and years....not side by side though, its an ET/MPH competition.

Great! The truck on the right in that video is a C15 Cat that probably started at 550hp and according to his site is now around 2400hp. According to my 3rd grade math thats 4 times stock hp. So if a stock Dodge is say 325hp, lets see some ~1300hp pickups towing 40k uphill. Bring the NO2 I don't care eliminate what's harder on what argument. Sure you can run a 10sec 1/4, sure you can pull a 40k lb sled 300', now do both. I know there's hills in KY or as they call 'em, Heeels! haha

After reading this thread it upsets me how quick people are to bash another, for one Gene was just poking fun at the thought of a half track race and pull. Nothing wrong there, im gonna guess gene and dennis get along pretty good cause they poke fun at each alot over racing and pulling. Gene has a good since of humor, some of you should try that sometime not everything has to be so serious. As far as NADM there payouts beat NTPA Regional Hooks and OSTPA payouts... So i dont understand your complaints there. With the way the economy is looking now a days we should just be happy to have a place to pull or race at, if your looking to do this to make money your in the wrong sport. Everyone at NADM is stand up people and there not lining there pockets with money. Its easy for most of you to say that but yet have no clue how much money and time is involved in running an organization and keep it good and get 1,000s of people to come pay to watch what your presenting when most of the people watching us our struggling day to day with everday bills. But thats just my $.02

I was watchin Speed the other nite and somewhere down your way (US) there was a sled pull drag race where there were two sleds side by each and modified gas 4x4s draggin each other for time, as well as full pull

Man now that was some serius fun and hole shots on the flagger done it every time.

I appologize if I offended anybody I want all of the players in diesel motorsports to work together to grow this sport. I love drag racing and I love sleddpulling and I have a deep respect for all competitors in this sport. I think NADM is the organization of the future and I have a great respect for david dunbar and I will support him and this org. But gene started an argument and he got one. Poking fun at drag racing will not go unnoticed but he wanted us to notice he said we took the bait and for that I don't appologize. But if I have in anyway spread decension with my comments I appologize that is not my intent. I think NADM is an excellent organization and david dunbar is a standup guy that gives his all and I applaud him and appreciate all his efforts. I wish gene shared more of his attitude.
 
I had a nice chat with Dave today myself. Dave and the gang have some very exciting things planned this year!!!! As for payouts, Corey is spot on... The NADM payouts are great, and they are a great bunch of guys....even if Gene is confused and thinks that pulling is more fun than racing LOL

No, Stevie took the bait and suggested we pullers adopt a longer pulling track to be equal to a drag race, and it opened the door to remind him that 300' of 40,000 pounds behind you is the equivalent of a 10 mile long drag race.

Gene you said in post #34 that "you now see that pullers would rather retain there manhood and use all of the track instead of half". This was your original intent and most of the first page of post reflect your intent and you did not restate it to clear it up. This Produced the arguement and for my comments against that I don't appologize for.

I can take a joke I'm not beyond cutting up but you always seem to joke and pick on drag racers as if we are not as good as sledpullers I'm flat tired of your comments. Joking Is one thing but wearing something out is not funny anymore.
