Personally, I think this rules is what going to make it not an Average Joe race, there's going to be some big big money spent on these turbos, which is cool. If it was limited to a non-clipped 66mm Id be there (do to I can afford one of those), but since it isnt Ill be in the stands. Also like stated before the timing puts a hurting on people in the northern states, do to people switching their setups most places have less than a month around here before track closures.

Anywho, this is an great idea, and hope it goes off with a bang, I plan on being in the stands, Kudos to everyone behind this.
 
I don't see why the 6.4 fords should be allowed to run twins even if they do come like that stock. These trucks are all going to be highly modded and not stock . Why shouldn't we all play by the same turbo rules? One single 66 for the Fords just like the rest of us.

Darren, I've been a self admitted Dumb A$$ from the beggining on this sled pulling G14 classified Legal cheating Modded turbo Bull Chit!!!

I've just been trying to learn as I go while trying to help out Jeff / Gary to promote this race..... In fact, I've already publicly appoligized to everyone for not having our stuff together quiet as good as we could...

I'll do it again.... We are sorry guys for the confusion on the turbo rules....
Micky Posted them and I sure hope it clears this up...

Also, We will learn from this first race and I feel good about the fact that we will have a Great base started that we can improve upon in the future....

This is our only truck left out of the 4 weve done that still has bone stock chargers. Dont fuss about the turbo rule Fords are 1000 pounds heavier than a Dodge or Chev out of the box so it all comes around. We will make weight with this one because of the fiberglass body. A Reg Cab 4X4 6.4L wheighs 7100 pounds from the factory. The other thing is this truck has a stock bottom end and we have only ever tried one run with out spray and it is not as fast as the time in your avatar toolman and it just about melted! This will not be easy for the 6.4's I would prefer a heavily modified single but its a lot of money to spend on a Super Street truck that has big plans for one event. Were just going to load this truck up stop in at Spartan get a fuel tune written so we dont melt and have a good time! To run 10.8 we use (2) .105 nitrous Jets. Here is another hit agains the 6.4L 17" Brakes! that means no cheater slicks for Ford 6.4's! Roger just loves to race

Ironically, most of the Ford guys are saying that they're at a DISADVANTAGE because of the truck's weight. (above post beat me to it)

Just a few questions for ya that may or may not come up. Not trying to stir the pot anymore than it already has.....don't want to shoot the messenger.

Trans brakes? yes / no?

Suspensions? Stock, coilovers, back halved?

Frames? stock, chopped, tubes?

Bodies? Full bodies, missing bumpers, fiberglass?

Other than the rules listed before, is it anything goes with that stuff?

I asked this earlier and didn't see any answer. Will the qualifying rounds all be added together and the low 16 trucks with their three combined times advance? If there is a tie for 16th, will that spot go to the truck with the lowest combined three reactions times? Just asking. That would really give the, "common Joe" a better chance. Makes everyone go three rounds of qualifying and doesn't allow a truck to make one low pass and sit out the rest. Going rounds with the EGT's that some of these trucks will be making will put more emphasis on the tuner as well as the driver.

Here is an example of a 6.4 pull truck with a single that I would take over our stock chargers anyday.

That thing looks pretty bad, why wouldn't you want to just go in that direction anyway? I am not trying to start a bunch of chit here, just want to make sure we are all on a level playing field. It is really up to the organizers what rules they make.

im pretty sure they said it didn't matter on any of that rich. as long as it meets weight, and the rest of the rules it good
 
After talking to a few on turbo rules, they are fine just like they are, been told by more than one that all the commotion is not worth it. Schieds rules make sense to me.

Sure, other rules make more power, but the advantages are not near as much with these rules. This race is much more about set up. The fastest truck will not win this race.

I would say that the finals that the two trucks will not be in the top half of the field

Find away to go fast enough to get in the show and then find away to hit the tree on race day. I know what I will do, and I am going to share that with whoever I decide to help .


Must be 2wd single cab Dmax , but I could make it work with a Cummins CR .

I will get some pictures later tonight. They have no idea on this turbo rule. Three of them could't make their minds up.

You all seen how much pullers gripe about the turbo rule wait till after this race is over all hell is going to break lose.

Fixed race only a CR's race.
