Heater box no fit... fuel filters gotta go

Probably some clearance issues with the radiator here. Have to order a radiator.

Set the front seats in, measured and drilled for them

Lastly today, I cut out the backing plate so I can mount the brake and gas pedal.

I assume you're going to install a lift pump, so build your own filter head assembly or use Airdog-type setup. Then delete the factory filter.

You can build an electric fan setup to take the place of the clutch fan. Do some searching on using Ford Taurus fans.

Looking good!!! Keep us posted. I'd love to shoot a feature on it once its done and ready.

I would like to see what it weighs when complete. Very nice build. I am glad you choose a cab over restoration rather than a Dmax swap. Gives me a thread to reference to later on when I start a project similar. Keep up the good work sir.

Frame was all bent up from the wreck this thing was in. The frame was about 4in too long anyway so I just hacked it off with a torch, and got the clearance for the bumper.

Bolted in the pedals to test fit. Its kinda tight.

Going to get some sheet steel to brace up the firewall. I swiss cheesed it getting that backing plate out.

Lastly, more test fitting of the column, cluster. Looks like it will be tight, but it should all fit.

Cleaned up the floor, laid down the some sound deadener, stock rubber mat, and bolted in the seats.

Also bolted in the inner fenders, trimmed for clearance where needed.

How the body is sitting now. Cab and front flip are bolted down, bed is just sitting on the frame.

I've been talking about doing this with a dodge frame for years but never got a round to it. Good work so far.

How well do those seats fit and how much room do you have. I need to figure something out for my 71..... I always wanted to do that looks great.

Awesome project man. I've been looking for a good 67-72 suburban to do the same with.

The seats are a bolt in super easy swap. However they don't leave much leg room. I am 6'2" and my legs are pretty smashed up. I think I will do some adjusting to the pedals so I can stretch my legs out more.
