72 C10 Duramax Swap

Cool to see such a cool project not too far down the road!

Any plans for it specifically or just to have a bada$$ driver?

Just a toy... Id like to be able to daily drive it during the summer, cruise to some local cars shows, a few diesel events, maybe take it to the track a few times. Oh, and haul my 2 bikes to the track.

I don't remember what wire I used to weld the frame, as far as I know there is nothing special about the steel in the frames that requires a special rod. I could be wrong

I've just been piddling with the truck the last few days, not much has gotten done.

I picked up a lightly used tsc toolbox off craigslist for 1/2 of a new one, so pretty happy bout that. I wanted a Lund tonneau cover, but they don't make one to fit this truck.

You did a very good job on that truck! Turned out great! Congrats!

Beautiful truck!!! Did you end up spraying some Niteshades paint on the front LED bar to integrate it? I had to look twice to see if it was still there...

man that is some great work, the 18's look real nice with that body sits on the frame. great work

Yes. Yes. Yes.

What are your plans for the T-Case? Can you control it with the factory push buttons without the body ECM or are you just going to flip it over to manual shift?

Built trans is in, airdog is on, cp3 on too....I just finished up the twins today.

As long as I get my coolant bottle tomorrow, It should be ready to be tuned at Danville on wed.

Oh and I used the factory 4x4 switch, the four wheel drive works just like factory. The only little things I have left to figure out is why the cruise, od lockout, and tow haul are not working
