95' Junker Drag Truck

I swear everyone of you fookers are trying to run people away from this site!!!

Fookin get over yourselfs!!!! Eat a Dic!!!

That is not the case. Stuff like that^^^ is no better then cummins forum used to be. This subject has turned purely into advertisement. Look at us buy my stuff.
Trust me your talking to a die hard of the forum. I love his place and miss how it used to be.

And please explain to me how that has anything to do with the price of rice in China. See how everyone else advertises? How not shoved down your throat a product can be

So the thread of your 94 build isn't an advertisement for Anteater by Firepunk...? Only difference is they posted a video and you posted photos.

My build thread was started 2 years before I gained my anteater sponsorship. The Truck was build by myself not them. I noted that it received sponsorship and thanked them for there help as k was grateful . I call the truck by the name I was asked to. I don't have a sales pitch in that thread. I don't throw it in every thread I can. I only discuss the product when asked. It's much different. My updates are for people interested in the truck.

You can't tell me that stuff^^^ isn't for attention doing that on a dyno.

It’s a funny video of Wills build who cares. It’s wills name on the title and the truck was built long before PDD came around

Exactly what i was going to get at. I didn't take it as an advertisement video at all. Its half impressive that he boiled the tires on the dyno!

You guys are not understanding the context of my discussion. It's not the video I am saying is advertisement. It's the whole way of business. That video was 100% like/view bait. Gets the Bros excited. Show me drag slips. Show me winners circle show me pulling wins. Complete with what you sell. Gimmicks are not impressive

Will has posted many dyno sheets and time slips. He’s definitely out there doing his thing on top of helping countless others

Hey man you do you I will do me. It's not worth my time.

We have a new guy that is pretty talented at making videos so he constantly shoots anything and everything we do each day and then puts together fun videos. I apologize if these videos offend you. I promise I'm still the same old guy that loves making power as cheap as possible hence the old HT80 ebay milsurp tank turbo. I raced 3 NHRDA events this year: Phoenix, AZ; SLC, UT; and Bandimere, CO running both 11.90 and 10.90 index classes. I couldn't afford the expense and time requirements to travel to NHRDA World Finals in Texas this year.

I love racing as much as the next guy. We happen to own a dyno and have a legitimate business that constantly demands testing, R&D, etc so we didn't just wake up one morning and decide "Hey, lets make a brodozer video to help us sell what??? I know... used cooper tires on stock Chevy steel wheels that don't even fit right...." Honestly, I wanted a clean 1/4 mile test on the dyno since we had recently repaired it and I hadn't yet been able to quantify the power gains going from the old HT4B based setup to the new HT80 setup and the dyno power numbers were not lining up as expected with the 133MPH trap speed from "real racing" this year so we tried a boosted launch 1/4 mile run. In the past, these 1/4 mile runs hooked and produced realistic numbers but they were ran with Slicks on the dyno, not skinny street tires. I'm embarrassed about how nerdy and giddy I look after that dyno burnout run and in those true candid "non-scripted" shots. Maybe the reality of the video is too much for some to handle.

I still don't understand why so many people get butt hurt over a new fledgling company trying to market itself to become a sustainable business. It's not like Todd and I are stepping on the heads of others, or holding others back through our fun videos. Owning/managing a diesel shop is not all fun and games, but there are times when we do get to kick back, do a burnout, and enjoy the rush of raw horsepower and torque.

I do understand when fellow racers get butt hurt when the Junker runs the index like clockwork and I do my part on the tree and the 5k pile of junk demoralizes a 20 to 30k race truck..... being an underdog is a blast, zero expectation and huge accolades when you pull off the win!

So back to the build......

Who thinks I should put a 13mm pump on the Junker?
I have a spare HT80, who thinks a pair of HT80's feeding something cheap like a box S475 would work well at the track? The hope is high RPM power might keep the stock rods alive???

Do it!

Internet policia! Run, hide! Go back to mehico! Man this stuff gets old, let's go back to technical jargon and making our trucks do stuff they weren't meant to do, like light the tires off on a dyno! Lol guys use to be like "how much boost did you make" and "that must have been at least 3/16 of tread gone up in glorious smoke"

Moving on...

13mm for sure! The junker is sounding stronger than ever. We need to do some grudge racing when I get Ol' Blue 100% on the street. I've never had a chance to race the junker!

As far as the turbo upgrades to two ht80's blasting a box 475 on the manifold, I don't have any technical data, but going off of my own experience compounding a turbo that most people told me would be an absolute pig, I'd say it'll work. Stall might need to be in the 3k range, but I am loving the way the hx82 on my truck made spooling so much easier. The extra volume of air really helps get the 475 off it's rear end.

Also I mainly want to see you do it because the turbos are "old", "outdated" and "too big" according to current diesel gospel.

Wow.......

I was shocked to see the last string of rants.......

Will and Todd and Lonnon have always been super helpful when I have called.

In fact, it's probably Will's fault that my 12valves run as good as they do. I totally blame will for the "fun-bucks" I've blown in the last 4 years. If it wasn't for his detailed write-ups/how-tos I would not have tackled the things I have.

Thank you for all that you have invested into this hobby.

In fact, it's all Will's fault I racked my barrels and now my 160 ppump runs smoother than it ever has. ??

Yes, do the 13mm. I want to see what it can do.
