Good meeting you Will. Even though you didn't win, it was a great day for the Junker. A world championship is just a better reaction time away.
 
Update: Filter Test
Now that it's winter and race season is several months away, we decided to use the Junker for our new air filter test.

Here's a video showing the dyno runs and some information about the new Performer Series air filters. Not a huge power gain, but some and the improved filtration is the real added benefit.

If you schidt heads would have been about 2 months faster....I wouldn't have just bought an new AFE filter..... LOL When this one is done, I'll holler. :D I recently quit the oiled filter for the dry type. The oil was fowling my MAF....I was probably putting a little too much on it.
 
WTF, why would you say that about these guys, with all they do and share what they find, testing all these combo's and yet there "schidt" heads, you didn't follow enough to know there's been a filter coming ? schidt head, it'd suck if they said screw it and stop sharing what they do because of bs, its happened on other forums and it would suck loosing these guys because of schidt head comments. just sayin

yea I know, and I didn't realize the sarcasm was in fun, its just I know these guys and they do a lot , they contribute more than most sponsors,I've seen other ppl give up on other forums because of comments and it really was a loss .

This place is a ghost town compared to what it was. I have been searching piston rod info and seeing screen names that were every day contributors. Either we runded them oft or they grew out of it.

I use to be on here everyday. Now I'm on every once in a great while. I'm glad to see you still making progress on the junker.

I'd say most grew out of it once the "tuners" came along. Or maybe it's Tunerz?


I know my halfton project is sitting idle, a mountain of parts next to it. I just have lost interest, and have gotten a bad taste in my mouth about fast diesel due to some schidt heads around here...

I'm the same way. I'm debating pulling the Cummins out of my halfton and putting my 440 in it now.
 
Y'all ever heard of Facebook? Pretty sure that has killed most forums, unfortunately.

Unfortunately is right. Forums are hard enough to find credible information. Facebook is impossible and is spread out and frankly not worth searching.
 
Facebook needs more recipes for bleach shakes and articles explaining the benefits.

The discussions I see on Facebook are so cringeworthy, people will say anything and everything on there for some reason.
 
Which is why, if and when I have the money to require advice, there are less than a dozen people I will call...on the phone...and I found them here on CompD.
 
This is my favorite forum. I have learned a ton and I have spent several dollars. Thanks for the thread Will. Most of you long time members have helped me out also
