95' Junker Drag Truck

The filter is a Napa Gold 3395, it has the same M20x1.5 thread size and the filter canister itself has a 240 psi burst pressure rating. Best of all, it doesn't need the water drain fitting on the bottom and it only cost $11.

I will follow up with fuel pressure readings and results after the NHRDA event this Saturday. Hopefully I can get this truck dialed in to run the 11.90 index. My goal is to have it leave with a soft consistent 2.0 60' time and run 125 MPH out the back door running right at 11.90-11.95. I don't know if it has enough power to run 125 MPH trap speed, but if it does, Look out all 11.90 class fender racers, it's difficult to fender race a truck crossing the traps at 120+ MPH!!!

Added that filter to "12v Notes" :Cheer:

Good luck this weekend! :rockwoot:

Junker ran good in Arizona. I won't be a spoiler, but I do see mid to low 11s on those new slicks sometime soon.....

All this work you have done you better get your azz over to the manual brakes thread in the drag race section and have a look at that pinion brake. YOU NEED ONE

Naaah, he was just nervous with the real slicks. Didn't think they would hook as good as they did. You could here them clawing on the track on the way down.

He showed me the outer edges where it was wearing funny and said he could have had that much more traction if he aired them down more. The junker ran REAL good ;)

I told him to start at 15psi and go down from there ;)

I think even with the air pressure where it was, he could have dropped at least .2 on the time with a solid launch in 1st.

Glad to hear this truck is running well given the hard work and time put in. Would be interested to hear what boost he is able to launch with on the slicks. Just can't see being able to cut the absolute best 60' possible without being able to generate more launch boost via the pinion brake.

Ok, ok, I will update since the owner is nowhere to be found yet ;)...the truck ran an 11.7 with a very weak 1.9 60ft, with the truck coming alive at about the 40-60ft mark.

My buddy Joe was also fender racing with his Duramax C10...lost with a 11.87 at 110mph on the brakes

I think the junker is in the same realm. I saw 11.9-12.0 on the brakes all day.

I think 119mph on the all out pass....but trust me, there was a BUNCH left on the 60ft.....Joe ran a 11.29 at 120mph is his truck with a 1.6 60ft, and I think the junker can do something similar.

I would say NO WAY unless I'd seen it in person....that truck moved harder in Second gear than most 11.90 trucks did off the line!

On a side note...I still wanna beat 'em ;)

The 11.99 at 87mph was awesome. Wish I had been closer to the dial so I could have lined up against him!
