I'm running Adrenaline CompF tune that I downloaded 10/25 and it will turn 3950 rpm on my truck. It fuels hard to 3500 then does the fuel, no fuel, fuel, no fuel, thing when you free rev it at the starting line.
I tried the new 4K tune and it killed my truck three times in one drive home and then I removed it. Once at 3200rpm, once at 3500, and once around 2800rpm. I thought I blew up my pump the first time it killed.
Also kind of weird but this tune would shut off the lift pump which is wired through a relay that runs off the factory lift pump harness. I have killed my truck a few times in the past with other fueling boxes but have never had the lift pump shut off. I really think it is something in the ECM that doesn't like the high rpm. I had to cycle the key a few times before the lift pump would actually turn on.
The 4K tune killed my truck once at 50mph and I cycled the key several times a tried to roll start the truck three or four times but couldn't get any fuel pressure. Has to be something in the ECM because after sitting a minute, I hit the key and lift pump cycled and it started without hesitation and zero roughness. The few times I have ran the rotor dry, it took a lot of cranking and/or cracked open lines to get it restarted.
I do not know the inner workings of the VP44 and ECM relationship but I suspect either one has the ability to shut down the motor.
