ADR still won't turn 4k for me

I believe the reason the truck shuts down, is the Cam/crank sensor sees in upwards o 3600 rpms and it tells the ECM WTF and the ECM says I dunno! so they just shut the truck down!

Yeah, kinda what I was trying to say........you used more technical terms though.
I believe the WTF and the Idunno code is actually listed in the manual.......if not, they should be. :hehe:

If it is killing the lift pump when it shuts off, I wonder if you could just wire up your lift pump to a "key on" source. The pump will run as long as the key is on and won't shut off until the key is turned off. That is the FASS Hard Start fix BTW. Im sure the adr is shutting off the vp as well as the lift pump but it is something to try??:smirk:

lmao is quad working on the problem or not?
I would assume so. Like I said earlier, I've been out of the loop for awhile so I'm not sure what all is going on these days.
I beta tested for 8 months and got rid of my Adren. last fall.

mine still does the same thing all of you aresaying. I remember someone saying it was some kind of saftey programming that shuts off anything to do with fueling.

i know the 2000 tune fueled me to 3750.. and it didnt kill over... so ...................see what the 2000 tune can hold. up.;thats all i know....

I don't believe this because some tunes, trucks, and even other boxes will turn past 3200 rpm, weather it be 3300 or 3800, and the occasional odd ball that will go to 4-4200.

That's just what I had heard. When I first started keeping tack it seemed like it was mostly the 01-02 trucks that were doing all this but I dont really know it is probly all of them.

Wow I just loaded up the newest ADR_comp tune and in neutral the truck died at around 3400rpm. Better than the 4k tune but this could get old. They seem strong enough but it took me 15 minutes to get my truck off Dunbars dyno a few weeks ago. I have been saying I could put up with this but I dont know now. I think I may see about sending it in again because it sounds like there is something loose inside the box itself again.

That my friend is why I'm running the CompF tune. It seems to fuel the hardest and does not shut my truck down. CompF was made after the firmware update so it will not burn up a resistor either.

It's just a little touchy high in the RPMs and likes to surge bad around 3500. When I'm at the track, waiting to launch, my truck sounds like a built gasser bouncing off the rev limiter.

I could not get the CompF tune to load on my box.

i know last nite i ran a hemi. that was soposed to be the badboy in town..... well i downloaded the 2000 tune.... 3800rpm. and the kept climbing.. so i am sticking with the 2000 tune....... 4k hits. 3200rpm. and kills over...... f-that.. 2000 tune works for me......

Relaoded the ADR Comp2 tune and seems to run better than the dyno tune for me.

Exactly man. F&$! killing the truck all the time, I turn 3800 with the 2000 tunes and they work!

Well I cleared all the tunes out of the pulse. Loaded the latest comp2 tune ( cant remember the date) and the truck didnt die and seemed to be very strong. It was raining out so I couldnt run it too fast but I got the results I was looking for. These #'s are straight from the data logging. I will say I dont condone fast driving so The way I did this test was to believe it or not make sure the front tires never went more than 30-35 miles an hour since it was very rainy. PL06 out of 11 no smarty anymore and nothing but ADR. I know it's not even close to 4k but man this thing felt stronger than it has in a long time.

How did you clear all the old tunes out?

I had the same problem with codes not clearing, Quad said to load the first 1000 tune in the list on their site. It defaults back to the original program, kinda like a baseline which you can then load a new one onto. $.02
