Anyone Going To The Keystone Nationals Indoor Pull ?

Whose truck was that with the hood stack? Seems like a runner, he definately had a head of steam before he came off the charger.

yup Laddell has always had a good running truck and stepped it up this year. It looks awesome with those dually wheels tucked almost all the way under the SRW bed!

Ladell was running Rockwells with a dropbox and reverser.They were a 35inch all terrain tire mounted on the wheels.I heard that from the source when I called them about something else today.Lamars truck was not finished in time with the changes to pull there......Andy

the red duramax hasnt got the built motor in it, they havent put it in yet, that is a stock one that is severely tweaked, it just wont burn up.

So he out and out lied to me at the '07 Butler Fair? Seems kinda cheeky.

He told me it had "everything." Billet rods, SoCal head and cam, Aurora 5000, etc. etc. He directly stated that it had 900HP.

I about spit my drink out like a fountain, because my measly truck put something like 13' on him. If he's reading this, I owe him a sincere apology for being rude, but I was so astonished at his claim that I just couldn't hold it in.

The conversation kinda died after my little outburst. Sorry Mike.

yeah at butler, that would be a full pull event, evidently you have not seen tricky ricky at work yet, i have. im sure you did beat a foreign truck under him, that truck getting beat by a 2.5 truck, hard to believe and by 13 feet, not happening. i never said it doesnt have any good parts in it, its not the built motor, it is in his shop. you havent seen nothing yet. but as far as beating him by that much, not on your own, im not calling you a cheater by no means and dont take it that way, im just saying rick has some screwed up ways of running things, ever wonder why he has hardly anything to do with ppl and the east coast series anymore, after mcconnel and atpa disapeared so did rick.its awful funny though, mike ran right with the disturbed truck last year and jeremy went to ohio and put like 15 to 20 feet on the 2.5 trucks, you should look at it like that. thats like saying that a 3.0 truck beat haisley on a power track, that just dont line up quite right.

You don't know much about pulling if you thinks thats impossible.


All it takes is a bad line, a computer glitch, or a blown shift, and you just lost.
Add to the fact that NWPADMAX actually DOES know how to get all hes got to the track,(most times), and suddenly the HP advantage you thought your buddy had is gone.(and we dont even know if the HP was that far off)

That pull was run square.
 
i go to more pulls in a summer than you have probably been to in a couple years, have you ever been a crew cheif, picked the line and gear, and worked on the truck the night that you won a pull and the grand american series points championship? PROBABLY NOT! ! ! but yeah your right i know nothing, unlike all the guys who have been down a pulling track a dozen times.

Bud Ive more then likley passed you a dozen times around town and walked passed you at all the local pulls. If I knew what you looked like I would gladly let you know what kind of guy Sleddy is. But Ill tell you now befor that. Gene is far from green behind the ears when it comes to building a truck,running a truck,running an event, or for that matter an organization dedicated to diesel truck pullers. Sit back and read the board a little and get to know some of the guys befor you comment.

Well, I stayed at a Holiday Inn Express the night before the Butler pull, and watched a pulling video once on You Tube, so yea, I think I'm qualified to school you, Jr!!!

I think its BS to tell a guy who legitimately won a pull and beat your buddy, that the only reason he won, is the pull promoter fixed the event.
Not only is it bogus, but it is very unsportsmanlike, and not expected from a Grand Champeen such as yourself.

Just buying all the right parts does not mean you are going to win.

Did you ever think maybe he just overpowered the track? No, of course not, its a conspiracy against the out of towner.

Sheesh.
 
2000wvdodge, I think your imagination is running wild. You also must know very little about Mat Cooper's truck. I don't think an attack on Rick will get you much support. Those of us who know him will not believe your accusations.

LOL Gene, you are a goof wad who wouldn't know anything about pulling if it jumped up and bit you..... I'm glad somebody finally had the stones to call you out on your lack of pulling knowledge, experience and participation over the years. LOL It is time you get off the couch and actually GO to a pull or 2.... maybe in a few years we will let you pull a truck and then you may have something to talk about LOL Until then, you are just an armchair quarterback who wishes he knew something about pulling.
