Big Single Questions

The 82 is essentialy going to be the base your looking at since the big singles are running that. I know its hard to start getting used to and of course you got to have the right cam but if you want to play with the big singles, I'd say HX82 base and your looking to Columbus for some of the best, however that place is hard to get into so its hard to tell.

Already been in contact with them on exhaust housings. Not a problem. Im not sure I want any advice from people off of the CAT team. I heard what you guys did to motors this year. Haha, just kidding travis. Great truck. I to Doug also at Woodruff a bit about a pump from Columbus. Price he gave was same as Joe Schmoe could buy it for. Got pump, cam, and injectors taken care of. Im leaning more towards the 60 at the moment with the superfarm housing thats needed for it. Noticed the 82 is popular among unlimited singles. Anyone run a these turbos? 60 or 82?

We like 2 run the the ht4b 3.5 comp wheel 29 ex housing
 
I have never dealt with turbos that big so i dont know. Hx82 sounds pretty sweet though. Thread back on topic. LOL Tim
 
I don't know anything about the CAT team, just a spectator.

The 60 will prolly be a good turbo for ya, I got one right now but plan on putting it on my DD. Just finished some of the piping for the twins and need to get teh head finished to put it on the tow rig. I'm looking at a 82 right now, I am pretty sure thats what lamar and them from East Coast diesel are running if I remember what he told me is right. There is another way to go and SPEAKSUP has the idea just with one less and I may try his way but I think I may jsut stick with the single and see how she runs. I got to put the order in for that soon and the IP so I can get it on a roll. Just got the block back from being tanked so we will see what se holds in the morning.

SHHHHHHH :kick: don't let the cat out of the bag yet. :bang It's being tweaked. Well man it's up to you I say go with a 60 theres a couple of different options also. HC5A as a single 82 has it's different inducer sizes I can't se anyone running a 4.3 Inducer as a single most the super street pullers I seen go with twins. My vote is for the 60 if not just go with the good ole S4.

Lamar is runninf a 4.2 inducer and getting it to light just fine. Although he is playing with what I'm trying to play with and succeeding.

PS. What were those exact numbers I gave u again a few weks ago?:poke:

4.2 damn nothing like being able to use a football to tech your turbo Like I said mostly the ones I have sen use twins which I think the rule on that is primary can't be know bigger than a 3.2... HAHA talk about being a laggy turbo I wouldn't try taking on of those on the street.
 
I think Ladell and Lamar were running HC5A's. Another charger to think about that's a bit smaller and wouldn't break the bank is an HT4C.

Last time I was down there they had like 2 on the floor just "waiting". Ladel and Lamar know what they are doing. It was a shame to see that thing go boom out at the Extravaganza. I talked to him in the pits as we were lining up and he said 4.2 so I can only believe him as he has never lied to me before.
 
Not really worried bout the money part so much. Of course it will play a little factor. I just want to know the best unlimited single everyone thinks. Not running twins.
 
If moneys not really an issue just buy one of each and try them out HAHA! Guess you must of got you Money Tree growing!
 
theres a pro52 on dtr for a grand shipped. i know most guys on here cant get on there, it was on a 1st gen
 
No a pro52 is no where near close enough for what you want Anthony. Heck you can still run them on the street LOL
 
Well if the rules state unlimited single Why not go with a HT100 :hehe:
