Buda Dyno Day 2010

theres already races going on in houston once a month and nobody shows

the last one looked like it would be big, but weather screwed us out of that one. it will get bigger just gotta let it grow and make sure info about the event is always current.

Zach, where are the location possibilities?? i like the idea of San Antonio or something, but probably would go where ever you decide to have it. only bad thing is going to be that in past years the guys at ART have been able to get people on and off the dyno FAST. dynoing well over 100 trucks in a day and a half. there is no way that will happen on a mobile dyno. wouldn't even come close. so i think one of the problems would be finding a way to get all those trucks dyno'd. keep us all informed.

I would probably look at San Antonio first. I will start checking on locations towards Fall for next spring. I think it would be cool if we could get Reckless out there as well.

I'm always broken and Blake doesn't get a long with 1/4 mile tracks. I do think houston would be a good spot for an event though. Especially if a dyno was involved as was mentioned. $.02

I think that moving it to Houston and some of the other things mentioned would basically negate the whole Buda concept. If it is decided that Buda, a central Texas event, can longer be done, and someone wants to plan another large event in the spring, more power to them.
I think the point of this thread, at this point, is: Is Buda gonna happen? Who is willing to make it happen?
I understand that everyone is simply trying to help, but I think we're getting off track here.

my thoughts exactly. The Buda crowd is far from the Houston crowd of years past. and I just hate Houston :hehe:

The more I think about it, the more I have to agree, if it's not in buda, it wouldn't be the same... I think it could be much better if, like has been mentioned, a gate fee was charged and some law presence was hired. It went very smoothly last year, but it was also very reckless. Who's to say another event couldn't be just a great, if it were held elsewhere, or even; in addition to the buda event though?

I still say hennessey performance on the outskirts of sealy is a good option drag strip and dyno at a state of the art facility.
