Buda Dyno Day 2010

There is a dyno in San Angelo on May 1st and one in the DFW area October 9th.

just got off the phone. It "MIGHT/MOST LIKELY WILL" happen but will be pushed back a few weeks/months.
so stay tuned for further info and don't give up hope.

IF it does happen, who all will be helping at the event? Kip I haven't met you yet but you have gotten to know some CS guys here recently. we're willing to help.

Still way up in the air right now but I will let them know (if asked) who is willing to help. I'm thinking they will have their own crew but might ask for more knowlegeable guideance in the matter.
Thanks.

I would think we would be able to get at least a couple of guys from around here to help if we need to. Keep us in touch Kip.

It is kind of crazy that all of that stuff went down last year. To be honest diesel events have always been like that if not worse. I have always loved diesels since I had a crush on my neighbors 6.9l when I was a kid but thats not what got me to make it my career. It was the fact that they blew smoke clacked could pull a house and smoke the hell out of the tires. Diesel events were built on the craziness and thats why I have always gone. You can't hook bumpers with mustangs or harleys, you can't pull 2000ftlbs with any other street vehicle and come on the smoke and big boost is cool.

The reality is that diesel events are growing bigger these days. The new events make thunder in Muncie or the old local dyno events look pretty small. This was one of the biggest dynos I have been to. We are lucky nobody has been hurt with as big as these events have been. I would like to look at starting an event next year. The sad fact is that we would have to hire a staff to keep it tame which means there would have to be a gate fee. Really we need to get a venue like San antonio to have enough room but that would be a lot of expense. The venue, the staff, event insurance, and all a gamble if it rained and was cancelled. I am open to looking at it if there is enough interest if everything lines up.

So how about it, any interest?

Zach

I would be in Zack!! I have about 6-8 other friends that are not on the forums that have been coming to Buda for the past couple of years that would be in too..

I dont know if you saw when I posted earlier Zach but Prarie Hill has a large area and the owner would most likely be more than happy to have us out there. Only problem I see is the cost of mobile dynos. Just food for thought.

I missed the 2009 due to this deployment but I intended on making this one for sure!! Got to get the farm truck tuned up and hit the rollers!!
Well Daniel i havent made it since we went in 08...it was fun tho :hehe: you and your tickets that weekend

i would attend for sure. if it could be held at San Antonio raceway it would help with the crazy chit since your at the drag strip and ppl will most likely run down the strip a few times and stuff. see if they would be ok with ppl hooking chains in the parking lot. haha. either way though i would come.

LOL as usual i'm in, and willing to help sponsor this event as well.

**** praire hill, that is run down place, yeah the owners wont give a **** about what u do out there, but there really isnt enough room, the foundation is shot, the track is never prepped, the pits are all uneven with pot holes everywhere, no way a big name sponsor like dr performance would ever get their truck to run down the truck, and its in BFE no hotels within 20 miles, good way for cops to target for DUI or DWI

The fact that some of the potential event go-ers are concerned about DWI's might also point to the reason that no one really wants to mess with this event this year............
