Can a vp44 have too high of pressure

Multiple issues, Shainer was set on the ac ripple, I found the alternator was on its last leg. Ac ripple was running 65 to 194 mV. I rechecked the grounds and cleaned them. The front ground was in good shape. The passenger ground wouldn't wiggle or move, I went to clean it too. I found there was a lot of dirt and grime and the bolt wasn't very
Tight. Still having issues, I checked the pcm connections and found one of the plugs on the pcm was jacked. Fixed it and problem free has been the story
