D-Max Nova

Yes Ricks driving for NHRDA points this season. I can't get my NHRA lic until after I have surgery on my knee. It has a mind of its own, and likes to trick me into close ups with the ground without warning every now n then.

Are you driving, Rick? If so, that must've been "fun". :hehe:

Have to give you guys props on how you've got the suspension set up for such a light car.

yes it is a lot of fun, but tons of work too.............

What trans? Still gonna race it?!?! Is your LB7 built?

it has a 400, maybe some local grudge racing....... nothing serious. no, its a stock lb7. will run mid 11's with this combo, can drive anywhere and get 35 mpg on the freeway. :) its a lot of fun just like this.

Here is a video I got at woodburn, it was cool seeing it run.

Are you running a GV? What are you running for gearing.

Oh yes forgot to mention that. It does have a gear vendor and I'm running 3.0 gears in a 9". Detroit locker. 35 spline axles.

Looks like the Nova made the Nov issue of Diesel Power Mag for those who want to check it out. Some incorrect and missing info, other than that it looks good.

You guys have built a bad ass Nova! What an awesome ride. The chevelle is sweet too! Great work guys and keep at it!

Thanks a bunch. Shooting to make some more passes next weekend. We had quite a few boost leaks, melted a stamped flange and found out we were on a 4k RPM limiter last time out. Also adding in a waste gate since we never had one before. Going to be interesting to see how things go. The tuning still needs to be cleaned up a bunch also, I'll be looking for some help with that.

When and where are you going to run next weekend as I know of a few folks that would like to watch, and are you going to Redding at the end of the month?

Shooting for Redding. I'm a couple guys down in the shop right now, so I haven't been able to work on the Nova much. I was thinking Redding was next weekend, looks like I have two weeks.

Thanks a bunch! Somebody was sleeping and forgot to pull lockup also ;) . Can't wait to hit a track with some traction and see what she will really do.

Sleeping....... Hmmmm really!!! After being up all night, hell we're lucky it even made it down the track!!!! Jezzzzzzz.... Lol.

And Jason's famous words as were teching in "is it ready"?? Russ and I look at the car and him, ummm "IDK" we pulled an all nighter and made it here, guess we'll see soon enough. Lol.

Nice run guys! The day was full of issues for all. That things a beast for sure. Hard work is paying off. You guys diffently deserve it.

Brad thanks bud, you guys were busting it all day as well for sure. I went 39hrs without sleep and threw in the towel several times. My sleep induced bonehead move was to plumb the newly installed gate at the track using poly tube. If you listen to the video, you can hear when it melts through mid pass and starts bouncing the gate. I was so out of it copper didn't even cross my mind at Home Depot. Why do we beat ourselves up like this again haha??
