Not trying to hijack but was wondering the same kinda thing about the insalation on the inside of my hood. its gettin pretty torn. was wondering if i took it off it it would cause problems w hood paint er anything? got compounds so the top charger is a little closer.

i removed mine and never burnt the paint. i was scared it would catch on fire with the top turbo being so close.

Got a wild hair last weekend & decided to detail the '05:

Hell, I even color matched the oil pan! LOL I'll get some better pics once everything gets bolted together...hopefully next week!

:hehe:
Packaging was one of the biggest challenges on this project... very busy underhood but still as clean as I could make it with twin turbos, twin CP3s, intercooler, aftercooler, IR intake manifold, IC radiator, BOE kit, crankcase evac, both NO2 stages, 12 water/meth nozzles, 2 TIP kits, electric oil pump, 6-port pressure gauge manifold, etc.

It's even worse now with all the wiring complete....
more Adel clamps than Swamp Rat III LOL

Color wasn't much of a choice - red powder coat to prevent rust & aluminum oxide, silicone hose is blue, black is hi-temp ceramic, silver is another thermal barrier, stainless is well... what we fab a lot of stuff from (so it's shiny), yellow is best for the injection lines, polished is the only 3.5" tubing we could locate, etc. :Cheer:

... can't forget braided stainless for the rubbage - I've even seen solenoids get worn down from a zip tie on these CTDs.

Have you better shots of your motor - cant see the intercooler

I thought I was the only one doing interstage w/a cooling since waaay back in 2005

what are the rings in front and behind every hose clamp? hose limiters?

Soon as my new motor is finished an installed i will post pix of some serious Bling and some new ideas

#2 battery is back in the toolbox with the 304SS tank.

The aluminum rings & crossbars are to prevent boots from blowing off (boots w/o limiters are on beaded tube).
