Duramax RPMS?

What you laughing at boy?
not you so stay out.

I don't think Hondarider has any idea who Mr. Supersonic is.. If I was new, and observed the innocent looking flatbed in his avatar, I might make the mistake of busting on him too..

New? ive been here awhile, just never really posted.
And no i dont know who sonic the headgehog is, i could care less. anyone can be a keyboard ninga.

Just a little FYI. You are probably talking to 3 of the most knowledgable guys in the sport when it comes to a dmax. Kusilek I think its safe to say has the baddest dmax puller out there. Diesel Tech has his hands in on probably the best running 2.8 puller out in the land and I'm sure many many more. And SuperSonic... Well I have a feeling his truck will run half way good also. They know their stuff thats for sure.

Hmm another thread turning out nicely :hehe: Mr. Watson get that monster put together! The masses will enjoy :thankyou2:

How many mod trucks have you built hondarider? You should be familiar with BBD, well that truck was originally Mr. Watson's truck. So I have a feeling he has forgotten more than you will ever know.

In stead of acting like a know it all, sit back and learn from the people that are actually doing it. I have seen your BS on duramax forum and Mcrat's site.

Grow up

what?
I kinda am familiar with him I watched him pull in Lancaster like 3 weeks ago, and pulled pretty dang well. Thats fine if he knows a **** load more than me, there is always something to be learned.

Know it all? whatever man.

BS on DF and Mcrats? Tell me how you really feel. :blahblah1:

Chill out y'all. no sence in getting in an arguement, just a misunderstanding.
As far as RPM. Common rail engines seem to plateau at about 5200 RPM. Much above this seems to be giving us fits with cylinder pressures getting out of balance. I have worked with an independent injector component manufacturer and their research facility to come to this conclusion. That doesn't mean that is the absolute limit, but where we were comfortable going to. There are advances being made every day in injector technology, and i am sure things will improve.
As far as a mechanically injected engine goes, you can go as fast as you can get fuel to burn. Honesty, I see no need for anything above 6800-7200 RPM, but I believe the hard parts living is going to be a greater concern. We'll just have to see how things go this winter.

I think it was a misunderstanding because i still didnt understand the postes abouve mine earlier, sorry if I was being a dick, as you said I misunderstood. :bang

I for one see a name not yet mentioned, and he seems to know his tuning. that would be Evan Davis, he has possibly one if not the baddest 2.6 D-max out there aka OSUduramax. he really seems to carry some rpms down the track

Chris, what do you all use for the injectors with the mech. inj.?? Extenisve head mods for using ^(them)^ or what???

Elsewhere you mentioned the wrist pins deciding they no longer want to be attached to the piston as a concern. What other applications (gasser or whatever) that have gone through this and what was their resolve?
