Ecm cuts fuel when sensing "Runaway" myth.......testing complete!

hell we tow a 40k pound trailer every weekend lol

TJ did you hook in the 2.6 or 2.8 class at scheid or did you even make it?

so explain this my the airdog on my truck still runs off the factory relay but will set and hold 4130rpms with missing a beat (sounds good) look at all my videos im taking it up to 4130 and holding it there for a few seconds before coming off the line.

I can do that also, but as soon as I go over 4200 rpm or so, it cuts fuel & starts cutting out. You can hear it in a few of my videos, like this one. It cost me a few feet.

I am still trying to figure out what dodge owners used to pull their trailers around with before 1998.5

Apparently p-pumps are unable to be used for towing whatsoever according to everyone on this site.
They weren't towing at 600-700hp level though. I keep hearing about the vallet switch, but I need to talk to someone who actually tows heavy with valet switch & 2.6 turbo.
Jamie tows HEAVY...

I wouldn't want to tow what he does with a hot P-Pump and a big single.

I tow with my inline pump almost every day:D

i guess you are right, its impossible

I'm not saying it's impossible.

But would you want to tow 20k with your truck? Regularly, for work?

Even if I had to drop gears to get the load up hills, I'd be fine with that. Only thing I need to know is what will need to be done to tow semi smoke free or very minimal smoke? I have been researching some in my spare time. I've always told myself that I am going to P-pump when my truck falls out of the money spots. I'm still hanging in there with [1] 4th, [4] 3rds, [2] 2nds & [4] 1st this year. Not bad for a vp truck.

LOL I put seven feet on Charlie last night with a 22" hitch and 7800#.

No one hung weight.

Watch what he does with weight hanging. You watch the videos from Listie on my youtube? Kris Gaster beat him without weights. His truck is too light without them. I heard you put 2ft on him?

apples to oranges...

Jamie's truck is about 550hp with an S300 2.6 charger

I dont doubt that if you took the time to tune it, a 550hp p-pump truck with the proper AFC, and a valet switch could be tow-worthy with a 2.6 S300 charger.

On another note- my jeep took a ****, so i drove my truck to work today...not too bad except with 4 tires on the back, and a spool...it makes for interesting turns on blacktop LOL

You will be fine with a P-Pump and a valet switch.

The valet switch has a lot of adjustability by doing a few things to the AFC. I dont see a 24v being that much more driveable/towable than a P-Pump really.

My friend was telling me that the valet switch cuts power in half. I definately couldn't tow my machine with 300hp & a 64 charger.

LOL Eddie said, well I guess that said it all. You got the video up yet?

The first time I pulled after the swap the the air dog was still hooked up factory. The computer cut the fuel somewhere north of 4k. I don't know exactly where cause I only have a factory tach. Then I found out about why it happened so I ran a dedicated switch that I turn off and on manually. No problems since.

And with all mods being the same my truck drives 10 times better than when it was a vp.

Fight nice kids. I'll admit one thing, if I beat Char, just once......I'm gonna retire from pulling. LOL I hope it is by 1".LOL
