Ecm cuts fuel when sensing "Runaway" myth.......testing complete!

My friend was telling me that the valet switch cuts power in half. I definately couldn't tow my machine with 300hp & a 64 charger.

The valet can be adjusted a LOT. Saying the valet cuts power in half isnt right at all because of how adjustable it is. I can either make my truck sick to drive, or it can have almost full power in valet mode. Just depends on the setup.

See, those are the questions I need answered. My truck tows best at 450-500hp level. How smokey would a P-pump be at that level with a 64/71 charger?

So would there be a way to wire a toggle in so that you could still use the factory "key on" to run the pump through the relay, then hit the switch and have it on without the ecm to interfere during a run? This way you wouldn't ever forget to turn the pump on manually, ar the relay would still be in place.

Thats how mine is done. I just ran a wire from the battery 12v supply to the toggle switch, then used a quick tap connector to the fuel pump power supply coming out of relay [going to airdog]. I only use the switch when pulling.
