fastest with just a tune??

2008 6.4 intake tuner exhaust ran a 12.78 on a 90 degree night in street trim and 75psi in the tires. This was my 3rd and last pass in the truck.
 
05 Dodge CR, CCLB, fuel tank and tool box in bed, Smarty, trans,Single Nitto 420s. 8300 lbs@ 14.54
 
My buddies 08 6.4 ccsb on 35's went low 8's in the 1/8th with a spartan on 310 and an intake

13.4, exhaust, tuner, and intake in my late '04 F250 supercab shortbed 4x4. 12.5 adding nitrous. Bone stock trans, headbolts, and everything else.

08' 6.4 12.80 @ 104 ..intake tuner exhaust , 8000 lbs cc/sb many guys have run that. reg cab 4x4 6.4 will run 12.2's all day on same setup. stock fuel system, and stock trans.

cclb dualy 22.5 alcoas. intake, spartan 310 tune, 5inch exaust, stock tranny. loaded 100 transfer tank huge system with tvs.
 
05 duramax xcsb 12.35@108 built trans, lift pump, 3" ic tubes and y bridge, and efi live
 
just a tuner, and no dpf.. stock exhaust, stock air cleaner. stock tranny, cc sb harley davidson editon... very little boost on launch (<5#) consistant 13.4 1/4 mile time.

No Cummins or Duramax can match that with the same mods... i know I have owned them both.

6.4 boy,, 1/8 times do not cross over well to 1/4 times,, the 6.4, because of the smallish turbos runs out of steam on the top end pretty good, so it dosent back half as good as the front half.. thats why the 6.4 loves nitrous so much

Ken,, with just a tuner,,,,, no other mods,, no way. Sure, after you build the tranny,, put a lift pump on and have a whiz do a efi tune, you might make it into the low 13's late 12's,,, but those trucks you have listed are not very close to stock. With my duramax I couldnt even break into the 13's with a LBZ. But that was just with a tuner.....

The alison tranny alone is on very borrowed time after 450 hp...... and they are not that much lighter to make up for the lack of HP
 
I really think that the idea of what is really stock is what is the concern here...... Stock is stock,, plug in a over the counter tuner and go... not having a built tranny,, or anything else.... not only that,, but even with a stout efi tune (even with Rob tuning it, whom I personally think is very hard to beat at the efi game) I dont see any Duramax hitting much over 500 hp...... and 500 hp in a qc sb truck isnt going to run low 13's period

I def was running mid 13's stock trans..2006 qcsb truck weighed 7200 just had smarty mp8 stack and a homebrew intake.. that was stock wheels and tires.. on 35's it ran 13.9-14.0 oh I had a lift pump.. I forgot.. but still did good

now all these have built trans, lift pump and more then likely a couple of them have intake elbows and boost foolers or waste gates sooo lets see what some 6.4s will run with a trans, intake elbow, intercooler pipe. Im thinkin they will give these duramaxs for a run. 12.1s will be tough though lol ive seen 08stroker run 12.37 with my own eyes. i belive he was running spartan 310, suncoast, ported fuel rails, intercooler pipe, egr delete, elbow and cfm.
