*bdh* I really dont want to strip this truck down and sell everthing and hang my hat up for a while. But i am sick and tired of my damn truck. I road in a truck the other day this has the ADR shuttering. My truck is def. way worse and totaly different. I would call it cutting out like i have said before.

Last night i was comming home and running the ape **** out of the damn thing. 110 to pegging it out. for 30 miles. its turning around 3000ish rpms. It will complete loose all rpms down to 2200rpms and then kick back on and start pulling again. This was with the ADR off and the smarty on 4.:bang:bang:bang:bang:bang:bang:bang:bang:bang:bang:bang:bang:bang:bang


I am taking the truck into the dodge dealer and see if they can pull any other codes with their software and maybe see if they can find whats going on.

my truck aint doin that so yeah id say yours is worse off... and i hate to say it but i dont think the dealership is gonna be able to figure it out bud
 
Well i talked to them and they said with the cummins software they can actually pull more codes than what we can with a smarty or scanner.

IS this true

hmmm guess that is possible i just wonder what kind of codes.... anybody out there know something we dont:poke:
 
thinks i have replaced within the last 2 months.
ECM
Cam sensor
Injection pump
FASS
ADR
MAP in Jan.
IAT in Jan.


Only things left
APPS
Wireing????????

You tell me what else it could be. I think i am going to try to find a wire harness.
 
If it was me, I would just start swapping parts with a truck that runs good till you find out the culprit. Only one part from the other truck at a time.
In a perfect world new parts would mean good parts . So it still might be something you replaced. Just a thought.

Thats what i was told so its worth a try. I told them i wanted to be there when they plug it in and i just want to know whats the problem and i will fix it. $75 to $150 to get its checked out.:bang
 
i wish i could help out bud, if they dont fix it and you ever make a trip out to grand junction, co im starting out as a tech for cummins there so we can play with it i hope.
 
We used to go up in that area 2 or 3 times a year but havent in the last 3 or 4 years.
 
My truck has bad shutter at low RPMs on all 10 levels even with the new "Smoother" ADR2000A tunes. Cut the ADR to Level 0 Shudder goes away.
 
check fuel lines near sending unit. I had a problem with the FASS/factory coupling and was drawing air only under load, a real pain. anywho, fixed with a 1/2" drawstraw. The metal lines comming out of the sender rust/bend/leak causing a loss of vacuum and air in fuel. maybe worth a look.

When I went to install my draw straw, the metal lines had holes in them & were leaking.
 
buddy of mine was having the same problem with his '01... I can't remember what the name of the part he put on it was, but it fixed ALL of his problems!!! I think I have a pic of it somewhere...

Well i dont know what the heck else to do. Truck completly cut out running at anything over 100. I am going to give the dealer a chance to scan it then we will see what happens. If its a negative on finding anything then i completly give up and will be looking for someone to put a ppump on it as long as all the guages work.
 
It just came to me..... you may have caught some variety of the problematic vp curse aka BBS. Has your truck been in close proximity to Tylers ?
If so don't worry, he is waiting to hear back from the doctor, we think there is a cure. ;)
