I Have Had It This Time!!!!!!!!

but why would it be defueling when maintaining a speed at about 2000rpms in any gear other than od

Well so if this is the problem then why does it do it with or with out any programming???? I and pull everything electronic wise off the truck and free rev the truck and you can hear the cutting out.

Not sure why you think the electronics have anything to do with the RAD. My truck will defuel with all boxes off, and just running the injectors, when trying to do a boosted launch. Remember Dodge designed for the torque management to work on a stock truck. It just shows up more, the higher the hp truck. I would send you mine to try, but I'm right in the middle of race season.

With all the electronics off, will it cut out when you are not free reving it?

Paul

Yep. I know what the Traction management is.

Tyler can you chime in on this and explain what and when it is doing this???? I give up it seems as though no one is understanding what i am talking about.

This isn't the typical dodge defueling. At least I don't think so. This is a very violent cutting of fuel. Maybe it is the defueling but I've never seen one defuel like this. It's bad. It does it at any time. Free revving with boxes on or off, at 3600rpms with boxes on or off, and at anything sustained over ~2300rpm with boxes on or off.

replaced
VP with hrvp and then sent the 5 month old hrvp back to get it checked out
MAP IAT Cam sensors,
ECM
Programmer
Injectors
FASS

is it the crank or cam sensor that tell the ecm the motor is "off"? maybe an erratic signal there?

is it a press on or bolt on cam gear? any chance if its a press on that its working its way off and at high rpms the CPS is not getting the signal?

just throwing out ideas here

Well see this is something i have been thinking about. I had a cam put in a while back before all this started happening. The cam is from haisley's and it is the bolt on gear with a keyway and all that stuff. So i was wondering what would happen if the cam as one tooth off??? Seems like this was about the time i started seeing the problem.
seems you've eliminated most everything else.

Sounds like your on to something here:clap:

You need to quit hangin' out with Tyler. I think his bad luck is rubbin' off on ya! I watched your vid, that sucks man.

It will run if the timing is retarded..... It is usually a pig on the bottom and rips like hell up top though... If the timing is too advanced, that could cause issues......

O rings and stock gasket?

don't the big power 12v guys run the timing way advanced (not retarded) like 25-30* so it makes more power up top which results in bad low end power.

I'm not talking about a 12v. LOL Timing is not static on a 24v.

Yes oringed and a stock gasket.

As Timmy said it will run even a few teeth off .... but it does kind of sound like a timing issue .....

This may have been mentioned, but have you checked the valvetrain? When they replaced the cam, could have overtightened the valvetrain, possibly bent pushrod, broken spring?
