I Have Had It This Time!!!!!!!!

That is way over my head. That was actually what I was thinking about. What if the cam is right with the crank, but the valves are off...

Who did your install?
 
nope but one of the only mechanics i trust. Top CAT mechanic and all put the cam in. I sure hate to dought his work.
 
I know what you mean about few people to trust & having confidence in that guy. Then again, you gotta ask yourself....How many beers were you giving him prior to the install? LOL I haven't messed with cam swaps on these engines, but aren't they just a slide on, keyway gear?
 
Your truck has been on my mind for the last few days & I've been meaning to ask you.... Have you tried checking the APPS voltage & resetting it? Are you sure that the one that you put on is good?

My truck was doing some weird things like a bad miss at 1800rpm, then it would just like skip a beat at different rpms, but never threw a single code. Then one day I'm hauling my machine home & cruising at 40mph, it just goes to a idle with no throttle responce at all. I checked codes & there it was.
 
yes there is but i just wonder if thats where the marks on the cam and crank should match up????? I am going to pull the cover this week.
