I Have Had It This Time!!!!!!!!

Head has been off 2 times and the valve train check more than that. All the HD springs are good and none of that stuff has been on the truck the entire time it has been doing this crap.

Just trying to think of different stuff. Have you tried swapping the stock connector tubes back in? Notice anything like alternator voltage moving? I am leaning toward a bad cam sensor/crank sensor, but I'm no expert. I know that I bought a new Map sensor which was junk right off the Mopar shelf.

in the 2nd video, what rpm were you where the sputtering is VERY pronounced ? RPM where the sputter was slightly pronounced ?

Need more info about this fuel shutoff issue. When the modis is hooked up you can read what the fuel shutoff is doing in real time right ? When you see the fuel shutoff coming on (fuel shutting off) you'll hear a sputter, check to see if both the sputter and the command for fuel shutoff are in sync with each other. If they are, you have found your problem. You can also take a screen shot with the modis while you're driving, that will also help with diagnosis of this problem.

It doesn't sound like a timing issue to me, sounds more like fuel related, as it is very consistent when sputtering.

The 2nd video is all at 2000rpms. All i am doing is going from PL0 to PL4 on the adr just to show how much worse it gets.

There are only 3 things pump related you can watch on the modis. RPMS, Voltage, Fuelshut off. The fuel shut off is going on off so fast it is hard to watch it in conjuction with the truck doing this.

If that is my problem the what is causing it????? The wire from the fuelshut off goes straight back tothe ecm. And the wire checks out out between the two.

Marco said "The fuel shut off coming on is either an ECM or wiring problem. I'd try to trace the fuel shut off wire on either the VP - ECM side and see if there's anything abnormal going on. Mybe it's chaved somewhere inside the wire loom?...

Hint, my '99 has been running with the fuel shut off wire cut ( a couple inches behind the VP connector ) for several years now...

In case of a runaway the ECM turns off the power supply to the VP anyway.

Marco says this and Chip at Blue chipdiesel says that wire is a signal wire to the vp.

Yes i have had the connector tubes in and out and no change, no the alternator voltage is good. I also unpluged the whole alternator system from the truck and started it and it was still doing the same thing.

I just replaced the cam sensor and no change,

Did you cut the wire yourself, or buy the truck like that ?

Try hooking it back up?

The cam sensor is new but have you verified the tone wheel that sensor runs off?? Does it have any missing teeth or anything ?

You should be able to get cam pickup data as well, check that out see if the cam pickup is bouncing around.

About the wire being cut is what MARCO said what he did to his truck if you look it says Marco said" and thats all his.

I think i am going to cut the wire?????? Why should i or why shouldnt I????

I'd have to agree, cut it and see what happens. From what I have seen, voltage on that wire should either be ON or OFF, it shouldn't have any kind of 'signal' on it.
