I think the dyno was wrong.

Yes it is.

Although, most people think they need to do this because a Dynojet doesn't "load" the truck:doh: In reality, it needs to be done because they don't have the truck tuned right!:kick:

That's what I figured the reason was for after reading the other posts.

Negative ghostrider......

ok must have had to much cervesa last night. didnt think i was coming off as a dick but after reading it today, i apologize for saying it that way. could have said it alot nicer . sorry fellas.

Its all good. Dynos get my temper going because i too have had poor results. You deffinantly need to spend time on them. Look at JohnP, who knows how many runs his truck has made but he is doing upper 800's on fuel. I hate paying money to find out alot of money equalls alittle gain. Tim

Hang in there man. It takes alot of time on a dyno to tune your truck but this is the only way to really know if you are taking steps foward or not. Sometimes you will do something to your truck and you think it made it stronger when in fact it did not.

:bang:bang:nos:
Hay Pete: just found this thread, mine made 26 more hp and 60 mo tq so i thought it was ok. It takes x-amount of power to get your rig down the track. thats all i give a crap about.
Now let me screw up your head, just got the bottle off the scale u used 1lb.
How many times did u spray?
O'yea who ever took that vid, hope u didn't pay him.

My 446 on the same dyno from a week before that was good then. I was satisfied with it.I tried to throw all of it at the dyno that day and was over fueled, made the 390 something. I made more with less fuel (programming).
This pos Amsol did not help either.Less than 1000 miles on it!
Can't upload the pics,error,error/contact administrator??

Try again.

The "concaved" ramp up in HP at lower rpms is a typical indication of too much fuel too soon. This condition inhibates combustion and causes turbo lag. On a Dynojet, by the time there is enough combustion to start to drive the turbo, the run is over. This poor tuning can be masked on the strip because you are not considering how long it takes to spool while staging and are leaving when the engine has gotten through this combustion "squelching" stage.

Bottom line, spend time on a Dynojet tuning the fuel at lower rpms, and the truck will dyno better AND run better on the street/strip. ;)

Just curious, but wouldn't more nitrous (sooner) clear up the run?

Brake boosting helps no matter what truck it is. A mostly stock '06 with a tune and Aurora 3000 made 394rwhp w/o brake boosting and 425rwhp with it. Try to get that sucker loaded on the dyno and see what happens. I know your dyno pain. 339 on spray after making 301 on fuel wasn't exactly what I was looking for.

Yea, don't think u spose to use it to stage the truck.
tommy

absolutely you do but i just used to much then left off the throttle and then the nitrous backfired through the exhaust with all the unburnt fuel.

I think u right JQ. For the 1st time i loaded mine 26 mo hp n 60 mo tq.
diff dyno of course.

Yeah.............Let's just perpetuate the "load" myth:bang*bdh*

Or better yet, spend the money for the dyno time and tune the truck properly:poke:

your right, your truck will run the best after fine tunning it on the dyno to make max power

Thanks: I see what u'r saying.
I blue the carb off my elcamino 20 years ago. Hope i didn't stir u.
