II 14mm Pump

Things are getting awful thin with 14 mm P&B'S in a 7100, Just wonder what the durability is like?????

Who actually needs to go to a 14mm pump when almost nobody uses a correctly built 13mm pump to its full potential?

Current holders of the 14mm pumps excluded.

For instance, BBD. I don't think he would be able to used a 13mm to achieve what he wants to do. I don't think "How do you like me now" would have even been as close as it was with a properly tuned 13mm pump compared to the 14mm pump it had on it while Dave owned it. But what do I know, I'm just some dumb kid....

When I saw Daves truck at Reedsville it had a Nippendenso pump. Then Cory swaped it for a Sigma. Is the Nippendenso 14mm?

What about Columbus and what they can do to a P-Pump. I hear good things about a 887 or 913 and what they can do to it.

Jim

CDS only will do 13mm on a p7100. I really like the idea of the 14mm since it would lonly help to deliver the fuel faster, and the higher the rpm, the shorter window we have to deliver it.

There is no durability at all. They can be failed on a pump stand with moderate rack travel alone.

It is an expensive and fruitless project.

There are a few that will hold together, but they are expensive and only built "right" by a few shops.

Yea that is the 14mm pump. Dave had that pump for a while, if Nathan told me right, almost 2 seasons. Dave's 14mm pump was built by Schieds I think. But even there you see there wasn't enough to to keep up to the other guys so I don't see how a 13mm pump was going to help.

don't think so called scheids today and they said noway to a 14mm pump . actually they said we DO NOT and WILL NOT build a 14mm pump.

Well thank you for the correction. As i said I think but I wasn't for certain on it.

I wander if it is a 14mm nipendenso or something. Vorhees said he had one on his.

I was going on the assumption that the nippendenso was a 14mm pump? Maybe I was wrong to assume that as well.

What exactly is a Nipendenso anyway? I have heard it many times but never heard exactly what it is...Usually its P-pump or sigma

After talking with Chris, I stand corrected. I have the Mac Daddy of 13mm pumps : )

Sorry for the wrong info fellers.

So back to this, the only logical move to make from a 13mm pump is to go to a 12cyl pump or a Sigma.

Nippendenso pumps fall in between there, if I recall correctly.

Correct me if I'm wrong but did'nt quite a few people have problems with the Nippendenso pumps sticking?

Here is my idea:

to use marine Mitsubishi S6R2-MPTK fuel pump, (engine volume 30liters, continius 720hp at1400 rpm).

Its inline 6 engine and it uses inline fuel pump (monster size, twice as size P7100) and it use electro-mechanical advancing system.:rockwoot:

How much the pump cost? - no idea
Are this pump available as spare part? -> no idea
Will it wotk with 5.9 Cummins? -> i hope :evil
