II Phatshaft 71

:woohoo:Got my PhatShaft71 in the mail yesterday. Hopefully i'll get a chance to get it on tomorrow possibly, depending on the weather. Cant wait to slide the plate full forward and take it for a spin :woohoo:

We are looking for some 12v manifolds to show soon. We will try to ship asap.

As much as everyone knows that I hate industrial and their junk injectors (all injectors) and P 7100 pumps. I was very impressed with their turbos. Their turbos still interest me when I'm on the look for one.

I decided to go big. Got a K31 from II the other day along with some of their dragon flow injectors. I hope that I have enough fuel to spool it. Guess ill find out next week when my head is done gettin fire ringed. Ive been using the truck for work pullin the trailer, hope I still can but probably not I would imagine.Told industrial that I wanted to rev the truck all the way to 5000 rpms when sled pullin, hope it works.

Yeah, I know, my engine bay needs a bath.

I don't even know who "That Guy" is. He is apparently mad at me because of a rumor he heard. It doesn't have anything to do with this thread.

It's good to see you step up! Last summer Brady and I were watching your vids and talking about you! On the new turbo why not run a filter like I run 5x18 AFE, it will fit..........that turbo is a Hoss!

I have a 5x13 but the dang alternator is in the way. I'm thinking about ditching the battery right there and just running a 45* and the filter right behind the headlight. Just a thought.

That is what I did with mine!

teddybear, you get the 71 on yet? is this turbo street driveable with an auto?

He doesent have it on yet. We pulled the Hx55 off Saturday night, and realized the t-3 to t-4 adapter he bought is made wrong. Soon as he gets the adapter we will hopefully have it on. :ft:

I pulled the battery completely out. I have had no issues starting it, but I don't start it below probably 50 and if it is below 70 out it gets a shot of ether.

Just curious, what was made incorrectly on the adapter? Who's was it?

Well, he bought the adapter off ebay, so im not sure who made it. Dont think it was any of the big diesel places though.

The adapter had all 8 bolt holes threaded. That would have been fine, but the HTT manifold has studs in the bottom of it, and you cant run a bolt through the back of the manifold and down into the adapter like this adapter was made to work.

And also, for some reason, the T-4 side of the adapter wasnt made right. The bolt holes didnt line up with the holes on the phatshaft 71's exhaust housing. So even if the T-3 part would of bolted up right, the t-4 side wouldnt have.

He has the right adapter ordered now though, and it should be here tomorrow. Hopefully we can get the turbo on Wednesday and try it out at the pull on Saturday:woohoo:

I think there are some H2E and t4 aren't the same. I have a big foot manifold and they say it is for an H2E, well my borg housing with a t4 needed the holes oblonged a little.

It would have worked if we would have bored the holes out a little bit. Ive heard something about a T4-1 foot?
