If you guys adopt NADM 2.6 rules, and become affiliate members we'll see what we can do about your purses..and, winners of your pulls will qualify for Indy in September.
Guys,
Let me attempt to answer a couple questions. 1. The 2.6 class did prove themselves last year and will have the same payout as the other classes instead of 50%. 2. I am and will continue to promote the class as I think it is a great class with potential. 3. As JT said, we just had the board meeting this past Saturday and got the sanction fees set for 2010 so I didn't want to book any pulls until after that was set. As of today letters have been mailed out to all the locations we pulled at in 2009 and when I have a firm idea of the schedule I will update the website, but I will say that 2.6 and 2.8's are scheduled to be at Marion this year so that's a start for the northern crowd lol. 4. NADM, well I just took over as president of ITPA so I don't know about any prior discussions of joining NADM, but I will say that I am all for class rules that allow our trucks to compete elsewhere and allows others to compete with us. So if partnering with NADM is benefical to them, ITPA and our pullers, then I am more than willing to listen and promote it to our board and the association.
Any other questions, ask JT, or post them here or email me at alanpage@indianatruckpullers.net and we will do our best to answer them.

Isn't that rule just going to make everyone go buy a clipped wheel 2.6 charger? Whats the big differance between that and a custom cover? If you want to limit the class put a exducer rule in place.
or a way to get the same result and easier to tech is put an outside dimension limit on the compressor cover. Make it a limit that will take away most med. frame and all large frame chargers. That will limit the exd. of the comp. wheel and is easy to tech with U-shaped tool that is *insert dimension here* between the prongs. So you plug it, measure the outside and done.
Now the big/debatable question is how big should that outside comp. housing limit be? That I don't know about.

Turbocharger: The vehicle is limited to a 9-1/2" (maximum compressor diameter) single charger with 2.6" maximum inducer no bushings will be allowed”. Charger is a Single 2.60"(66mm) measured at the smallest diameter of the compressor wheel (will be measure with a go-no go gauge) and the housing must be smaller than 2.65"(measured with 2.65"plug) from the opening to the wheel(a minimum of 3/4" of inducer bore before the comp. wheel), no tapering of the inducer bore or plugs allowed. 1/4" Map groove maximum allowed and no other ways of allowing air to the wheel other than inducer bore and map groove are allowed. Turbo must remain in the factory location as manufactured by the OEM. The turbo may be raised or lowered to accommodate aftermarket pedestals. Must fit stock hood.
You guys are wasting your key strokes. leave it alone as it is now. it has been competitive everywhere ive been this year, with NADM, BOB, NKTPA, and Ohio. all these rules and this and that makes everyone buy new chargers every year. I was hoping to use the same one i had this year for next year, and it doesnt look promising. We go through the same thing each winter.
I thought the point of the 2.6 class was to help the D-max trucks?:hehe:........the only reason RPM limits are in place it to help out the D-Max trucks.....
