Itpa 2.6 ****2010****

So the rule is for a true 66mm turbo. Im asking because Im going to be buying a turbo for my 03 in hopes of pulling this year if I can get the truck done.
Whats the rule on OEM turbo location. Can I run a 2nd gen Dodge manifold and turbo on a 3rd gen Dodge

Here's what the rules say about moving the turbo. I'd say it's legal to change the manifold.

Turbo must remain in the factory location as manufactured by the OEM. The turbo may be raised or lowered to accommodate aftermarket pedestals. Must fit stock hood.

Re tech man

Anyone hear of ITPA hiring a teck man full time?

ITPA is actively looking to hire 2 tech men. They will be paid $200 per night.
Job responsibilities will be to oversee tech inspections of trucks, enforcement of general and class rules, random fuel testing, and take charge of the track. Free admission to all ITPA sanctioned pulls. Position will report to the Executive committee. Preference will be given to persons that have knowledge of both gas and diesel technologies.

Anyone interested please call or Alan Page at 574-721-3973 or alanpage@indianatruckpullers.net

What's the logic behind not letting someone relocate the turbo?

Hey guys real quick rule change on the tranny blanket. Its no longer going to have to be from the back of the engine to the tail shaft. A bell housing blanket is all you will need for this season. But next year full blankets will be mandatory. Dave's Diesel is currently working on full tranny blankets for Dodges and Fords. For the Duramax guys if you've already bought a full blanket then you are one step ahead of the game. Also guys make sure you have your killswitches, loops, and other safety equipment.

Never had a 1" travel rule last year in 2.6 class. Ran the bump stops all the way down all last year.

Also, stated above but double checking, They are going to tech the turbo housing, 2.6, and also check the wheel for 66, Right?

Yes. I just had a plug made and the wheel should be checked as part of the certification process.
Also it was decided at the last board meeting that the top 3 trucks in each class will have the inlet checked with the turbo warm before going back to the pits. Apparently there were some accusations last year about oversized turbos, so we are going to try and put an end to that this year.

Hey strokn, now you can swap in a cummins and be competitive. I'd really like to see that as I think a cummins in a Ford chassis would make for a very competitive truck.

There's a green extended cab F250 for running around here with a cummins in it, he pulled at logansport and got second, behind mussleman, I'd like to see him join ITPA!

I'm not too sure, I've only seen him run in open classes.... he did have a trick hitch coming off of his gooseneck though
