Let's talk S465

We appreciate the info Brandon. I alway's read how much better the 3rd gen's do with big singles. I've never had anything but 3rd gen's so I don't really know the difference.

When I get back from Iraq I'm going to put all my parts put on the truck. Then I'm going to apply for TNT-R. But right now I'm only running around 35 to 3,700 rpm. I think I'd have to get a somewhat small housing to make it work for me on the track. I deffinitely don't think I could keep one lit in stock form.

A 3rd gen is capable of running a .90 t4 with a 82mm exducer if it has a many tranny, not much experiance with the autos and that setup but they may run it as well. I run a 75/82 .90 on my cr and drive it everyday and can roll into the throttle on the street and have full boost by 2100rpms.

I picked up an S366 this year to move up from work stock and I love it. Thought it would be very laggy with my auto and 35" tires but its not nearly as bad as I thought. With the smarty and mach 5's its very streetable.

Now I'm thinking I can run an S465... :evil just need to find one at the right price or find someone that wants to trade!

Stock form for a out of the box 465 is 76mm exducer and a 1.32 t6 I believe. Most wont want to run a 1.32 housing so you will atleast need to buy a housing for it. If you really want to customize it it will depend on your setup, fuel rpms etc. I think for most guys in 2.6 they could get by with a 1.0 t3 housing but IMo would run better with a .91 or 1.0 t4. If its a high revving motor I would suggest 82 or 87mm t-wheel.

so tell me, I can get a T3 .76AR with a 98mm exducer ???

Ok so no race cover for a S465 how do they flow with a standard cover verses a S366 with all the bells and whistles? Is it a huge difference. Would go larger, but need to be 2.6 legal, no bushings.

I have another question. Does a S400 (S465) series have the came compressor outlet(correct name?) as a stock Cummins? If not how do you adapt it into the intercooler plumbing?

No the V-Band outlet is bigger and there is an option of a hose outlet.

So then what do you do on the intercooler side? Replace the V band elbow with a piece of same size pipe at both ends and clamp the hose? Would exhuast pipe be good enough? Or is there somewhere to buy a piece suitable for that?

I use a 3/3.5 silicone reducer

Got a pic Rodney? Just seems like there wouldn't be enough there to clamp onto on the intercooler side because it necks down behind the v-band :what:

Sorry guys I know I sound stupid on this one but all my turbo experience they have bolted right up.
