Mid Atlantic pulling Ass. mod class what should it be

I should make a poll...which place would you rather compete?

A. A dustbowl with about 100 people in lawnchairs that pays out sweet plaques

B. A clay pulling track that has to expand seating every year to accommodate the crowds and pays enough money back to 6th place to cover at least your entrance fees

I'd rather go where there is more exposure...but that's just me. I guess some people just can't perform in front of a big crowd... LOL

I understand all that, so since this association is looking for a better mod class rule setup why not follow the rules for the bucks new 2.8 class? From what ive been told they are suppose to really open that class up this year. If you ran those rules then you could add those 5 hooks to your pts schedule too and have 19 pts hooks. Most of those hooks are 2-3 hrs away for me but i'd be willing to make the trip for all of them if the rules were better. Right now making the mod class run 1" of travel is going backwards bc thats what the buck made guys do and everyone complained.

There is no way the buck will allow another org. to have a points pull at the same time as they are having one in the same class

Is it really that big of a deal? I mean this isn't ppl vs. Ntpa or anything, its a local association and a local track. The buck still has there pts thing and any members of this association that runs that night will receive pts in the way they finish between those members, if you finish 5th in the class but first out of the members you get 1st place pts. To me it seems pretty simple but maybe its a bigger thing than I think. I don't know its just a suggestion

Has the Buck actually posted complete rules for their new ProMod class? I know they have abbreviated set out, but is a complete set available? -Steven

A. if the other track is the Buck, I won't pull there for a reason.

You can ask but i all ready can tell you the answer, they barely want to do anything now do you really think they are going to want to combine a class and give 2 points break downs. In my opinion it would be a PITA to try and keep up with all that but thats just me.

So on that note if you run in the class and they do allow this to happen do you get points for both mid atlantic and powerfest or just one or the other? everybody would want to get both points for both org's but I dont see this happening at all but you can only ask.

Isn't there at date where there are 2 pulls going on? One at the buck and one somewhere else. If so how could you run both points

You guys all have the wrong opion. WE ARE NOT RUNNING AT THE BUCK. The buck has nothing to do with this assoc. All this assoc. is doing is trying to do is give a little back to the guys out there week after week putting money out of pocket to put on a show. We value all opions and Our scheulde is trying to work around the buck so the guys that want to run both series have that option. I have no interest in competing with the buck. In the future i would like to pull this series at the buck so our gas trucks can go back there, but i dont ever really see that happening because of the way the buck is. I appericate all the guys who understand what we are doing, for those of you who arent sure please show up to the meeting saturday night and we will explain how it is all going to work. Nick and Will thank you guys agin for all your help and trying to spread the word. Hope to see alot at the meeting so we can make a fair set of rules that accomidates as many as possible. You guys try to remember this was started by a handful of guys trying to expand what we are all doing anyway. Most of us are all at these pulls anyway so why not try to get a little back.

Tj, I have been friends with you for years. But if all you want to do is bad mouth the work that everyone is trying to do with this association, then Its just best that you do not make any further comments or posts about it.

if you love the buck so much, go get it tatooed on your ass.

just saw this thread this is a great idea, it will be nice to have all the local pulls with the same rules for once, i like the buck and will continue pulling there this year. but this it a giant leap for us in the right direction, i will try to be a the meeting good job to the you all for putting this together.
