7. Engine block must have been available on one-ton or smaller pickup trucks retain the OEM heads, maximum of 460 CI. Engine need not be brand specific. The front of engine block can be no farther forward than 17” of the centerline of the front axle. (2009)

8. Radiator is optional. (2009)

9. All vehicles must be equipped to direct exhaust upward or downward. Two 3/8 inch diameter bolts must be placed in the exhaust pipe in a cross pattern within one inch of each other as close to the final turbo as is practical.

10. The fuel must be pump #1/#2 diesel only. Soy/Biodiesel fuel is permitted.

11. Fuels systems: Largest fuel injection pump allowed will be a stock appearing P-pump with only one plunger per cylinder, (no Sigma pumps). Common rail style injection systems may be run multiple CP3 pressure pumps. Nitrous oxide is prohibited. All other oxygen extenders are prohibited. All system components must be removed from the truck. (2009)

12. Propane is prohibited. All system components must be removed from the truck.

13. Water injection is permitted. Alcohol, methanol and all other flammables are prohibited. Commercially available pump lube is allowed.

14. Turbochargers are limited to two turbochargers only. Single turbos are unlimited. For multiple turbos, the inducer bore on the atmosphere compressor housing(s) may be no larger than 3.0 inches measured at the smallest diameter area of the compressor wheel. A bushing may be used to downsize the compressor housing ahead of the wheel. If a bushing is used, it must be round, at least 3/4 inch long, mounted within 0.050 inch of the compressor wheel and the inside diameter of the bushing may not exceed the 3.0 inch limit. The inducer bore will be measured using a 3.05 inch plug. All provisions allowing air to the wheel other than via the pore are prohibited.

15. An OEM transmission and transfer case is mandatory. Need not be brand specific. It must have been an option on a one-ton or smaller pickup. Non-OEM transmissions are prohibited. (2009)

15a. Manual transmissions: A clutch meeting minimum SFI Spec.1.1 or 1.2 is mandatory on all vehicles. All transmissions must be clutch assisted. Sequential shifters are prohibited. All vehicles equipped with a manual transmission must have a flywheel shield labeled as meeting minimum SFI Spec. 6.3 or greater. Applications for which an SFI Spec. flywheel shield is not available may use a properly attached SFI 4.1 or 4.2 blanket that completely covers the bellhousing; it must be attached to the block and extend rearward to the transmission with a minimum six inch overlap where it is fastened.

15b. Automatic transmissions: Aftermarket torque converters, valve bodies and internal components are permitted. Transmission brakes are prohibited. Any non-OEM floor-mounted automatic transmission shifter must be equipped with a spring-loaded positive reverse lockout device to prevent the shifter from accidentally being put into reverse gear. A functional neutral safety switch is mandatory. All transmission lines must be metallic or high-pressure-type hose. All vehicles with engines running 4500 RPM or more and using an automatic transmission must be equipped with a transmission shield meeting SFI Spec. 4.1 and must be labeled accordingly. A blanket type shield is permitted; it must be appropriately labeled as meeting SFI Spec. 4.1 and it must extend from the rear of the block to the front of the tailhousing with a minimum six inch overlap where it is fastened. All non-blanket-type shields must incorporate two ( or one, per manufacturer’s instructions) ¾ inch by 1/8 inch straps that bolt to the shield on each side and pass under the transmission pan unless the transmission pan is labeled as meeting SFI Spec. 4.1. All vehicles

with engines running 4500 RPM or more and using an automatic transmission must be equipped with a flex plate meeting SFI Spec. 29.1 and be covered by a flex plate shield meeting SFI Spec. 30.1.

16. All trucks must have at least six inch wide u-joint shields around the rear u-joints constructed of at least 1/4 inch steel or 3/8 inch aluminum that will safely contain the u-joint and the ends of each shaft. In addition there will be at least one shaft loop in the middle of the drive shaft. All shields must be securely mounted

to the vehicle. Any front shaft u-joint that is visible from the side of the truck must be shielded to contain the u-joint and the end of the shaft.

17. The upper mounting point for strut assemblies must be in the factory location. Adjustable caster/camber pillow ball mounts are permitted. The lower control arm may be strengthened provided factory-mounting points to chassis are maintained. The lower mounting point for the strut assembly may be modified for improved caster or camber. Strut tower braces, lower tie bars, sway bars, and limit straps are permitted. Traction bars and devices are permitted. The final decision rests with the BTPA Tech Official.

18. A street legal, working suspension is mandatory. Removable solid suspension bars are permitted. Control arms may be strengthened or replaced, provided all original mounting points are retained. Strut tower braces, lower tie bars, sway bars, limit straps, and camber kits are permitted. 4-link suspension systems are permitted. Air suspension is permitted, but the compressor must be disconnected.

19. Non-OEM rear end housings are prohibited. The rear end must have been an option on a one-ton or smaller pickup. Rear axle bolts must be covered by a cap or shield. Does not need to be brand specific. (2009)

20.The vehicle must retain the original factory wheelbase and track width for the body used.

21. Hitch must be rigid in all directions at all times. A hitch angle of 0 to 30 degrees maximum is allowed with no leeway. This will be measured from hook point to hitch attachment point on the frame. Draw bar length, measured from center of rear axle to hook point, will be a minimum of 27% of truck wheelbase. Steel hitching device will be no more then 1 1/8 inch thick, no less than 3/4 inch thick. Hitch height is not to exceed 26 inches. It must be visible, clear hook mounted in horizontal alignment. All hitches will have only one adjustable supporting point and it must be located no more than 6 inches from hook point. That supporting point, if mounted to frame, must be vertical if the attachment is from above or below. If attachment is to the rear end, it must be at or below the center point of axle. No part of the draw bar and/or draw bar assembly framework may protrude through the box floor. (2009)

22. Tires must be DOT street tires only. Cut tires are prohibited.

23. The complete floor pan is mandatory.

24. A sled-and driver-operated spring loaded emergency air shutoff is mandatory for mechanical pumps. Trucks with electric pumps must have a switch to kill power to the pump. The cable must terminate into a two inch diameter steel ring.

25. All trucks must be equipped with a driver operated fuel shutoff capable of blocking fuel flow to the injection pump, three way dump valve recommended.

Definitely come on down on Friday night for the Badger hook if you can. They are a good bunch of guys and put on a good show. It should be a heck of a weekend!

I wish it was possible to be at all three Saturday events, but the Union Grove show is at 6:00 PM, the Badger State show in Sauk Prairie is at 6:30 PM and the Badger Truck show in Deerfield is 6:30 PM also. :aiwebs_029:

Having the chance to pull twice, at the same track in two nights, makes a long road trip a little easier. I have to do my best to juggle our packed schedule this year.

Truck has an open driveline so it doesnt appear to be legal. I would still come if I could make an exhibition pass for fun. PM me the start times and things on Friday. I am very interested in coming up and hooking that night for exhibition. Sounds like fun.:rockwoot:

I don't think that you will be allowed to run without conforming to our rules.
