New engine build Scania DC1601 for our semi truckpuller.

Not to take away from this thread but this truck years ago would be 3000+ and I don't need a dyno sheet.

America?
This is tall boy's thread, where he is kind enough to share with us the incredible things he and his company work on.

His competition truck is held to rpm limitations and intake restrictions, I feel his question is valid.

The only issue I have is another member in this thread and his comments toward something he obviously has no clue about.

I concur. The numbnuts that think everybody is America can kiss my... no they can't. They can buy a plane ticket and experience something outside this "society" first hand.

Please carry on with the thread. I enjoy it immensely. Particularly your successes within the restrictions of your class.

Look you pompous assholes, in case you missed it he just posted a video of a C15 injector and one of his systems is coming over here to be installed on a truck on this side of the pond. That truck like it or not is going to be playing with the likes of the mechanical one I posted. For that matter I'm a god damn Canadian.

So you claim they aren't making North of 3,000hp and you don't know the answer to that question...
i know the answer, it was actually not the question. 3000 hp from billet Sigma is easy if rpm is not limited, you can get more from 9 litre prostock engine. Or at least they claim so.. Not many have dyno sheets.

Kind of insane to dyno a pulling truck with even 2000Hp. Even with 1000Hp on the wheels and the low gear ratios we use it’s sort off mission impossible and what to calculate on drive train losses. I kind of had it with dynoing trucks as we spend more time adding weight on the axle to get some traction on the rollers.
To way to go forward on testing is to take the engine out and putt it a water break like a Taylordyno for example as I like them a lot even able to control smaller engines with a hi power output.
On diesel only classes it’s not that hard to calculate max Hp as the turbo will be the limit on things but in general the ones that are winning got it all working for them and the Hp output is just a number. Also a semi puller from Europe is hard to compare as it’s so different on what is used in the US and Canada.

We run some test last week in a attempt to get more power but we kind of hitting a wall on things so it looks like around a AFR of 13 we getting no more power out of our engine so we now going to concentrate on getting more air mass into the engine so soon we hope to build a new type of BorgWarner S400SX series with a bigger turbine side to reduce drive pressure and we have to look into a more aggressive cam design.

Second place this time.

You must be completely delusional if you think Pro Stocks and Hot Rod Semis don't have dyno sheets, and this would be from a Land and Sea water brake dyno, not some hub or wheel dyno. I personally know the 2014 PPL Hot Rod Semi points champion as we work with him, so maybe you should just stop typing nonsense.

I completely agree, I enjoy watching what you have accomplished, and always enjoy the amount of detail you put into your efforts.

Thanks Somkem
Some say it’s easy but being on the edge of max performance takes a lot more effort and maybe sometimes you get lucky but big change is you will need to find the road to better performance and endurance as the next time you do not want to fail due to a breakdown.

Well we had a very good truck pulling weekend and we and a lot of our customers end up having a podium place doing a bit more than only ECU systems. Turbochargers and camshaft and many more.

dynoed at crank- pro stock tractor 1350cc= 2670hp=1.98 hp per cc.
680ci, sigma pump, columbus single charger 5.3 inducer, steel cam, billet head/crank/rods/steel pistons/water inj. 1.65gal diesel fuel/2 gal water per hook. egts 1500deg.

400 hp missing somewhere. I think those pro stock turbos are at their limit so how do you get more ?

Then it's this: They can make a dyno say what ever they want it to. If that were the case i would have been getting my ass handed to me by 2.6 trucks

So maybe it's better to stop talking about horsepower because they are more or less BS anyway.

You need to take a step back from the keyboard pal. Its pretty obvious you dont have a clue what you are talking about. Do yourself a favor and read before you post.

Only one team with 2 trucks. In our national series there was 0 trucks last weekend because it is too expensive to build trucks after dutch regulations were taken in use.

Leiffi it’s a good think you do not know it all. Maybe we get funded by the European union so we could build a bout 30 trucks or so in our small country. BS mate. Hard work and effort makes a load of fans happy on the pulling track and I’m proud to be a part of this and in all we inspire a load of other people just by sharing information and experience.

Bravo, You keep doing what your doing. To guys like Leiffi it doesn't matter if you were to make 3K hp out of a lawnmower engine he would claim someone somewhere did it better, or you used the wrong dyno.

Me and others on here tend to not chit on others accomplishments, especially when we haven't done anything better. This is a trait Leiffi should adopt.

Leiffi if you or someone in your country has something better, bring it over and show us what we're missing. We now have a few electronic Cat's running with the sigmas and I'm sure they would love to have you come and school everyone with your million HP L10.LOL
